Remember ICA Yellow Troops?

Yes, the grunts look like Proud Boys. I wasn’t even joking just compare the images below.

Not just them. Fred Perry polos have been used by skinheads and other far right “activists” well before them, for a few decades. It was a quieter dog whistle then. Started in England.

So, I wouldn’t even be surprised if the resemblance was intentional here. Just not for the Proud Boys, but the ones before them.

Absolutely but the Proud Boys were the ones I chose specifically because gold/yellow-black is their colour scheme.

It could be, the Proud Boys didn’t exist back then but the other groups did so it could be possible. They do carry the air of a right-wing militia which is still an issue because they are supposed to be legitimate mercenaries. Dexter’s goons should have had the polos and the like instead or maybe the Cougars.

Heisenberg is trying to distract us. The real question is why is the ICA using the wrong sort of camouflage because they are conducting daytime urban ops in either night, woodland or vaguely desert-like camouflage.

Because it’s not a normal op, and it’s not really ICA. If an actual sanctioned ICA operation was taking place, you’d see something more akin to Apex Predator.

No, wrong on all accounts. It’s a great story, should always be treated as canon, because it is, and it’s a great example of what should happen when taking an assassin out of his element and putting him on a rescuer mission against extremely sinister villains. It’s not what people expected after Blood Money, and that’s the real reason why people don’t like it.

My interpretation was that the ICA was public knowledge after Diana flushed all accounts, so they didn’t bother being secretive.
That’s why one of her bodyguards recoginzes Merces Letifer as the Agency.

And then WOA soft-retconned it back to a secretive agency. Only to once again expose it in HITMAN 3.

ICA was never exposed; the agents were exposed. It’s a common misconception because the backstory provided outside the game says Diana exposed the agency, but when you listen to 47 speak, he just says she exposed the agents, and that also explains why, even after this supposed exposure and reformation, only those in the paramilitary industry and wealthy elite are aware of it, and it’s still a secret by WoA.

Oh yeah, those weird looking goons with that weird tactical polos making a total mayhem in a little country town of South Dakota. Sure I remember them!

IMO, the Blackwater troopers were way better.

Absolution is canon and probably will always be a canon part of the story.

To be fair, anything “confirmed” outside of the games is subject to change. There was a lot of stuff “confirmed” before Absolution that had to be changed when WoA came along. As a general rule, if it’s not in the main media of source material, it’s subject to change. That being said, still agree that Absolution is canon because, well, it happened.

So I don’t hate the idea of the ICA having Troops as I believe it wouldn’t be out of the question for them to have these guys for special assignments but the problem was how they used them, it was really crazy for them to attack a whole town and somehow cover it up and later on take over a whole cemetery just to dig one body.

Now do I want to see them come back? Yeah but to be honest I really can’t see them coming back now since 47 has basically wiped out the ICA for good but I wouldn’t mind seeing their outfits and weapons return as cool unlockables.

This is justified with the revelation that Travis, who is basically in charge of the North American branch of the ICA, was acting irrationally and not getting approval from the real heads of the Agency.
