The egg hunt suit is not bad.
But if we are going to have a bird suit anyway, it would have been interesting to implement the bird suit from Blood Money as a self homage to past works.
By the way, I am still waiting for the implementation of the chipmunk suit.
By my count the Quack? Quack! challenge is the 47th challenge which has been added to the main/side missions post-launch, so The Egg Hunt Suit is certainly an…interesting…thing to have the honor of such a milestone. The more I look at it the more it grows on me!
I will say I’m very shocked at myself that I didn’t think of a common item like coins being a Twitch Drop, it seems quite an obvious choice in hindsight. So on that note, I predict Purple Fiber Wire coming sometime this year too!
As a big fan of the flamingo suit I like that bird burglar suit a lot. But the gun looks like it’s just a pink reskin of the floral baller? (can anyone confirm this?)
The shoe is certainly intriguing. I won’t get my hopes up about it though, it’s probably just another bonker. The coin on the other hand looks absolutely awful
I’m already annoyed at having to play the Deceivers yet another time but I guess there are still some people out there who don’t have the Sapienza ET suit unlock :x
This roadmap is literally a carbon copy of the previous roadmap. Though it’s not true: the season of Luck at least introduced a new item with a new mechanic (RFID Taser).
This roadmap feels so average…
I’m not disappointed, as I expected nothing really new. This content was so predictable.
Something I’m disappointed though, is the absence of answers about some contents:
Soltice suit, travel briefcase for season 2/3… There are in the files but nothing about.
Legacy escalations from season 1?
What about the Disruptor? OK the DLC has been removed for the reason we know, but what about the related items (also present in Freelancer…). What can expect the new players? Is IOI thinking about it? Can we expect the reintroduction of this mission with all connections with the guy discarded or it’s impossible because of contractual obligations?
I do not care about the content of the answers, I do care about having an answer.
Best way I can describe this update is…odd. Let’s break it down.
My issue with the unlockable suit is that it just looks…awkward. Like a five year old made it to dress up their dad for Easter. As someone else mentioned on here, it feels very low-effort and kitbashed. And not even in a “so bad it’s good” kind of way, it just looks bad, not goofy.
The Blossomballer looks good. I was already a fan of the Floral Baller, so I’m biased, and this is pretty much my highlight for this patch.
The easter safehouse decorations were a foregone conclusion to those in the know, so that’s not a huge surprise to me at least (I do like the providence bunnies!) But…those were added months ago to be reactivated now, so it’s hardly a point in favor to this patch.
Having Synergy with football is not something I expected from Hitman. I mean, if you’re into football, this one’s for you, but it otherwise comes off as a bit of a weird cross-promotion, even in context. The football boot is in a similar boat to that of the Pinot Noir bottle, in that it’s an odd unlock to have, and isn’t any different to what we already have, and comes off as a completely random prop made into an unlockable. Sidenote: I have a sneaking suspicion this is on Sapienza because of that goddamn Sapienza Edition. You’re not adding value to it with one new challenge.
I hope the coin gets updated to add the Twitch logo or something, because right now the coins’ Heads/ Tails sides not having a pattern looks a bit off. Looks more like a tiddlywinks counter right now.
Overall, this roadmap is just as barren as the last one, despite initial perception as having more new items to unlock. The effort in this patch went into the creation of the challenges and unlocks, but most of the new items are plain weird, and I’m struggling to work out who they appeal to. The list of fixes is laughably short (I did notice some fixes ported from UCP, so I appreciate that!) and should be longer, and really, in this stage of the games; life, fixes should be something of a priority. Unless you have PSVR 2, nothing really happens in-game until April 17th, unless you count the obligatory ET activations. Which I don’t, not any more.
Even the featured contracts come off as something we all expected to happen, so there’s nothing new to be seen. Not saying FC’s don’t add value, they do, but it’s par for the course, and just contributes to this update’s monotony.
The previous patch/ roadmap was the company releasing the rest of last years’ content. This is the first proper patch of the year and it feels so…barren. How is it that this keeps happening? You could’ve added Dual Wielding to cross-promote with the PSVR 2 port. Or spread the content out better so you don’t have these large drops of content spread out over weeks of nothing, all of which can be completed in less than two hours.
I don’t like being mean, or even dismissing content, but…what else can I say exactly? Hostess Fruit Pies, this roadmap is not.
So basically we have yet another baller reskin, a What the actual fuck is that skin, random challenges, same ETs, and the good stuff: Best CelebrET and cool FCs. Really?
It has similar design cues, but no, it’s not a reskin, there were actual edits to the textures to make the branches and blossoms. I can’t share the images here, but they are genuinely different textures-wise.
We will also be reviving both of our previous Twitch Drops to celebrate the release of the Splitter for anybody who missed the chance to get those items last time. For more details, please see our Twitch Drops FAQ.
“to celebrate the release of the Splitter”? That ET isn’t on this roadmap at all.
