Yeah it does, but eh, shows how much they give a damn
I believe there was a delay with transitioning the Feb roadmap to the March one as well, so Iâm guessing there might have been a delay with the April roadmap as well?
Yeah but I have no loyalty to IOI as a company. Theyâre just another studio to me. I know Hitman is a niche but itâs a niche thatâs been the only thing theyâve made that sells, so I have no obligation to jump to Bond or the new IP because itâs made by the makers of a game thatâs a different genre from the game theyâd be advertising.
Iâm not asking much but at least have one intern working on live stuff for the next three years in the lead up to your next big games. In fact wasnât the whole point of opening a Malmo studio to have a team dedicated to making new Hitman stuff?
Well a recent interview with IOI said there is still some really cool stuff to come.
Once the WOA content has come to a close, we can start fantasising about the next Hitman game ![]()
Mind you, âcool stuffâ is a vague term that can mean anything. From bonus misisons to another Holiday Escalation to the âHeavenly Virtues DLCâ Escalation pack.
Till now weâve been getting 5 Featured Contracts with each location. Today, weâll be getting them on 2 locations (Dubai and Dartmoor). Any guesses how many contracts weâll get today? Iâm hoping itâs 3 each or at least 2 each.
Sounds like 3 total to me.
With a focus on Greed, you can expect three new contracts from each of them, spread across different locations in the game.
Maybe a bit foolish, but Iâm cautiously optimistic for these contracts because
- 3 contracts is a small enough amount that even a single creator shouldnât have to retread the same content/ideas within even small maps
- IO giving the creators the prompt of âGreedâ hopefully will give them a sense of creative direction, which Iâve always thought leads to better contracts
That being said we obviously have no idea what experience (or any) these companies creators have making contracts. So we could just get a bunch of rubbish. Who knows?
Two Angry Gamers made one of their contracts live on Twitch. I did not see it but from others we might not want to expect too much.
Just played TAGâs 3 Featured contracts. They are⌠bad.
Knocked them out of the park within half an hour without any preparation and expect last one all on first try. All I got was lousy reskin of a briefcase. Also, why only 3? Is it because of season of greeed?
I was wondering why, unlike the other batches, there was still no specific thread for this week FC from TAG. Now, I understand why.
Hmm, I missed this. So, this time I disappointed myself before IOI could.
So, this means weâll get 1 each from Berlin, Chongqing and Mendoza in the next batch, right?
I donât mind the Featured Contracts when they arrive, but Iâm not one of these players that jump at them as much anymore.
Sometimes they are just way over complicated just for the sake of it.
Just my opinion of course.
Agreed.
Some of the community curated, Feature Contracts in Hitman2016 and for Hitman 2 were designed for those who play a lot of Hitman, overly clever in utilizing odd items or game mechanics associated with certain levels, with too many specific requirements and restrictions.
I would think some of the time-limited Feature Contracts in Hitman 2 arenât even doable anymore without the electrocution phone for an easy accident kill.
Thatâs a nice muffin you got there. Wouldnât it be a shame if I killed you with one now would it?
Well let me kill you back with a handy apple I have here if I can figure out how many times I have to shoot you in the leg with the Krugermeier first.
⌠Or I will get you with the serpent cane thing that appears after starting the music in the Griswold Residence in the basement, but you will have to wait for 10 minutes until the music plays out first. So hold on there.
I have completed all Hitman 2 Featured Contracts in Hitman 3 with a 5 star Silent Assassin rating. They are all possible, it just takes a reworking of strategies. That said, you can really tell some of the contracts that has a reliance on the Electrocution Phone.
⌠OK good, I look forward to the challenge. BTW, fellow canuck how is covid in your neck of the woods?
I am in Northern Ontario (Sudbury). Not as bad as other parts of the province, but bad enough.
Professionally I havenât been affected (still extremely busy with work), but personally it has severely impacted most of my extra-curricular activities.
Hopefully it is not bad where you are
