Season of The Dragon Roadmap - Fall 2025

I’ve only just found out tonight that throwing a newspaper at a target/civilian now no longer knocks them out! Don’t know if it’s a bug or if it was intentionally changed? :open_mouth:

There’s nothing about it in the patch notes, so it’s probably a bug.

I like it better that way though.

I’m not sure if anybody else saw this yet but I got an email from IOI today and they mentioned that they will be releasing a patch to improve the Bruce Lee mission and also other things like reducing the ET Arcade failure cooldown timer from 12 hours to just 30 minutes!

So are we expecting a patch tomorrow in line with this announcement or otherwise soon?

…right after I fail the Monarchique by blowing him up as he leaves the level :sob:

it was worth it, I think. Him and a guard got utterly launched off screen with all the propanes on the map

I’m very glad they’re doing a 95.83% reduction in the cooldown timer for the ET Arcade (assuming it will apply to all the ET Arcade stuff) but why not just go all the way and remove the cooldown entirely? Oh well I shouldn’t complain, it’s nice to get a great QoL feature. Here’s hoping they add more new gameplay tweaks and improvements like the two-item holster they added last month.

I wonder what the patch will change about The Infiltrator mission. For The Banker they not only fixed several bugs, but also added new starting locations. Good on them too for fixing bugs for The Infiltrator mission within a month instead of the 3.5 months it took for The Banker. Fingers crossed the Winter ET has more polish from the start.

On a sadder note, since it’s October 20, we are officially only one month out from The Bruce Lee Pack being delisted for sale, probably permanently. Leaving the items, suit, and Freelancer cosmetics as unobtanium for any new players or those who didn’t buy the DLC. Soon there will be six slots on the Freelancer weapon wall that will always remain locked and empty for newcomers, and two locations where it isn’t possible for the challenge completion to be shown as 100%. And since they’re only doing the DLC for a limited time, it’s plausible that The Infiltrator ET itself won’t ever come back either.

Man, I wish they would also fix some bugs they’ve introduced (like falling ATV or the fact you can fall through ground when approaching Alexa’s Carlisle grave). Otherwise, what a great change!

Yet more reasons why IOI are increasingly becoming an actively hostile, anti-consumer monster of a company. Let’s see how their FOMO tactics play out when even their former biggest fans give First Light a swerve.

The ET format still operates on a consequence-based structure, much like Freelancer in a slightly different way. The pressure of not wanting to fail because of the consequence of not being able to try again immediately is an incentive to play more thoroughly in Arcade mode. Although, taking a 30 minute period to wait and figure out what went wrong is a lot better than waiting half a day. Less likely to just give up entirely for several days before coming back to it.

Well technically there are already unobtainable things in the Safehouse for everyone who didn’t buy the Disruptor before it was removed from sale

TBH we don’t really know if that limited time thing on the Infiltrator is IOI playing on FOMO or just a request of Bruce Lee’s rightholders.

I’m thinking we get a patch drop tomorrow! :crossed_fingers:t2:

Do you think it will actually be delisted? Have we had anything like this before on ET where it states play for a ‘limited time’, only for it to stay permanently? Will be weird to see if randomly disappear from the Arcade if that’s the case?

Why would IOI mention it’s available for a limited time if they don’t plan to delist it :x

It will not disappear from the Arcade. It’s going to be grayed out forever for people who didn’t buy it, but people who did will still be able to play it after it’s removed from sale. I can still play the Disruptor even though that DLC was delisted, there’s no reason for the Infiltrator to behave differently (besides it would probably be illegal under EU consumer law and as a Danish company I don’t think IOI would ignore that).

They wouldn’t say it’s a limited time thing if they didn’t plan to delist it, but they also wouldn’t be so quiet & vague about it if they were trying to generate FOMO. Seems likely they know it’s a bad idea & are stuck with it. But I guess we can only really know what we’re told.

Maybe it’ll come back around seasonally, and it’s just not going to be available all the time? At the very least, maybe the ET itself will come back but not the DLC and later they might make the items at least unlockable just by beating the ET. Who knows until we get there.

Does anyone know when the update will come? They should’ve informed us at least 24 hours before it does, so we can be prepared for it.

I’ve been on break for just under two weeks, and so far CombatGlue has gone M.I.A, meaning Urben has to step up and be the go-between on this forum, and ETA will change to a 30 minute lockout instead of 12 hours.

I should go on sabbatical more often if good things kept happening for the game.

They didn’t mention that the patch comes nearby. Maybe in next roadmap, who knows lol.

Well, maybe. I don’t want to be the buzzkill of this idea but… well, here we go.

The wording in the announcement isn’t clear; it’s positioned in the paragraph and in conjunction with the subject of updating the Infiltrator ET, that it’s not explicitly stated if the change to the Arcade cooldown timer is for all of Arcade, or only for this mission. I’m leaning more toward all of Arcade, because it would be nonsensical - and presumably more difficult - to only set one contract to a shorter wait time and leave all the others as they are. But, then again, it’s IOI, which is starting to veer dangerously close to needing to change the company initials to BHD: Bone-Headed Decisions.

That’s true, but it would seem silly on them to talk about a patch introducing a change highly requested by the community in a promotional email designed to encourage play on their WOA series especially on the latest Celeb ET which expires in November (and the chance to even buy the Arcade pack to play the improvements). So I suppose the tentative deadline of a patch would be at least a week before the ET expires, right? Right IOI?
