I quite enjoyed this mission. I learn something new each time I try it. The Blood Money reference was hilarious, too, especially with the opportunity right there. I am hoping the next DLCs have even better stuff to come. I hope we get some sort of celebratory DLC someday that has some Codename 47, H2SA, Contracts, etc, throwbacks that haven’t made it to WOA yet to maybe celebrate the incoming remaster release.
OK,
Now I’ve had a chance to try everything available from the launch of this roadmap, I’m going to give my general thoughts:
The Herbalist ET: It’s fine. As others have said, it’s disappointing that they’ve just changed the house, and - honestly - it doesn’t even seem changed that much aside from the party going on. The weed downstairs is a nice touch, but it seems a bit low effort compared to some of the others. I also didn’t think the tour or opportunities were that special. It’s alright, but not great.
The Herbalist Pack: way too expensive for what it is, especially as the items aren’t all that good imo. From what I can tell, the cookies disappear after they crumble, so it’s not even like a muffin substitute but with five of them. Having them as an emetic or sedative (like the bubblegum) would have been more interesting. You do get the special mission for The Herbalist, but as I didn’t think it was all that great anyway, it’s not a huge bonus.*

The Getaway DLC - I like the items (yes, even the balloon), but the organisation of them is criminal. Suncream is a melee item? The casual outfits in Freelancer? It’s like they just threw them in and randomly sorted them. The inventory is already pretty full, so making it confusing on top is such a terrible thing to do.
Bloom Where You Are Planted challenge - obnoxious challenge coupled with a mediocre reskin that does less damage than the original gun. If it was something interesting (like a throwable skull, to complete the Monkey Island reference) or something useful, then it would have been forgiveable. Or just make the challenge less annoying, lying dumping a body on the grave after obtaining the pirate disguise.
Purple Stream Proxy Mine - it’s fine. I like it but should have been a remote mine, as then I may have actually used it.
Dank Duck - yeah, it’s cool. I can’t remember if it’s legal, though tbh.
Quartz’ Community Contracts Batch - already reviewed these so will keep it short. I liked most of them. A couple I didn’t, and then we had one missing and one replaced by a terrible one from the previous batch, but that’s more of an IOI issue.
So yeah, mixed thoughts. The rest of the content is much of a muchness or repeats - apart from the batch by Agent Hashim.

@heisenberg Well there’s your answer.
I see only one accurate description out of three. The reskin is awesome, and I see no difference in power. Two shots to the torso, the NPC is dead; one shot destroys a camera or explodes an already compromised propane tank, same as any other ICA19 variant. So I’m still waiting to hear what’s wrong with this unlock, aside from the obnoxious challenge to get it, which I’ll grant is a universal opinion.
Seemed to take longer to explode cars and stuff. Either way, challenge is annoying for a reskin even if it’s largely the same.
If you’re trying to use a pistol to explode a car, and your method is to shoot it until it does rather than shoot it where the oil will spill and then shoot the oil, you’ve taken far too many bad steps to get to that point for the gun’s power to be relevant at all, sorry to say.
No piercing perk bro ![]()
That’s about my thoughts too.
I was left surprisingly satisfied with the ET, but it could be more expansive, especially given the price hike. I should say, I love the little touches in the underground facility, just watching the drones fly about and the stacks of weed is oddly hypnotic. If we don’t get a drone item soon, I will be very surprised.
Not gonna open the can of worms of the water balloon on here, but I will say that the item selection for this roadmap has been quite odd. The paid DLC’s have been underwhelming, even compared to Wiz’s DLC pack, which at least had a boombox as a distraction device, and the current free ICA19 is just…outclassed by the Silverballer, which has 11 seperate variants as of this update, the 11th is gotten via the Getaway DLC in this very update!
No clue what the Morsizzles bag of cookies is meant to achieve; having a worse coin but five of them is…a bit of a strange move, especially with how finnicky NPC’s often are sometimes. I suppose that’s why you have 5 of them, but i’d rather have something I can use repeatedly.
And coins are everywhere in most maps, so it’s doubly useless.
Changing the theme in settings to Hitmanforum Night helped me with that.
Paid cosmetics is a terrible practice, but the pimp suit from the Herbalist DLC is one of the best suits in the game.
Edit: sorry the “Entrepreneuer” suit… good god that’s offensive, lol.
That’s the first time I’ve heard that on here. Usually people buy DLC’s for the dress up factor.
Paid weapon packs, or weapons in Paid DLC packs, are much more controversial, as evidenced by the recent discussion of the water balloon and SPF 47 that had to be moved to a seperate thread.
Well, yeah. Pay-to-win and Pay-to-cheese is worthy of discussion.
But paid cosmetics, while common industry practice, is still hella icky.
I mean look I stopped playing Overwatch in 2020 but I did buy that Pink Mercy Skin.
Luckily I do not participate in GaaS. Except Hitman. Ugh. When I realized Hitman was morphing into one of those, I was determined to both own everything in the game, and to continue complaining about predatory tactics. Screw you IOI for making such a fun game that rewards creative self expression.
Since when did any pistols have such a feature? I have not used one pistol in the life of this game that could shoot through anything other than glass and actually hit anything else.
The Striker and Matador can punch through a target to hit another target behind them. That was one of the requirements to get the Striker in the first place.
I’m talking about the ICA19 variants, the baller pistols, but fair enough, my statement just said blanket pistols. But, there was never any indication that the Spider Lily was going to be a striker-type pistol, so I still don’t see any decrease in power as a baller.
And that was the only part I was responding to. I agree that the ICA19 pistols as a group don’t do that.
That explains it. I was wondering what it was reskinning
