On PS4, dropping the golf ball didn’t explode but shooting it still did. Same for an ICA Remote Explosive and the explosive pen.

Baseball, on the other hand, didn’t explode on being dropped or shot.

Nitroglycerin still exploded on being dropped (and when shot).

Not happening on PS4, seems like a PS5-only bug?

That happened to me when completing The Banker (on PS4), but retrying did reconnect. Completing a few other levels worked fine for me though.

Personally I like having a tab to go to to check the current ET.

Still a KO on PS4.

What annoys me the most is that the tile design can be done well, and was done well in 2016 and 2. But here, it’s filled with wasted space and really large tiles for no apparent reason.

I wouldn’t even be against the live tab if it had more than four entries. Seriously, there is a reason I use Heritage UI, and it’s because their dashboard menu design just plain sucks.

It still isn’t working for me, no matter how many times I try…

One thing I did notice upon rebooting the game a while later is that the new challenge was no longer marked as completed (which is… good, I guess? or at least less worrying that the contradicting “challenge completed / suit not unlocked” state I was in). But reloading my last save file and trying to complete the mission again (without completing the challenge, this time around) still gives me the same error messages, and the “retry” option still doesn’t work.

EDIT: I just tried again with a fresh run instead of an existing save, and I could actually complete the mission without that damn bug kicking me offline. The challenge no longer being marked as completed allowed me to complete it again, and this time, it worked! Suit unlocked. Phew.

Still not super happy about the whole thing though… I hope this won’t happen again.

agree, since you’re talking about the menu i also think that there should be an escalations section here in the game modes tab, would fill out this empty space nicely
maybe they should place it next to contracts though idk
if they wanted to fix the order it should be
contracts, escalations, sniper assassin, arcade, freelancer

also one thing i really hope they do is give challenge packs their own tab here just to declutter everything a little bit

ok this is a nitpick but since im talking about it already i also think they should bring back the old loading screen for everything that isnt freelancer, i know the new one is part of the woa rebrand but i think the old one fits better for the rest of the game (so everything except freelancer) icl

Seems that they changed the main menu and finally updated the ingame roadmap, I would have prefered to see the live ET instead of the arcade.

Have they forgotten that there are people who don’t speak english playing this game? None of the new items and challenges are localized.

Also this, what the hell is this IO? Your proof reading and localization departments have been lackluster lately.

So I keep reading about changes of the main menu.

I have none on my side.
And my understanding is that it’s platform specific. Playstation specific.
Maybe bugged and unintentionally reshaped, maybe an old version…

But I’m curious.
Could anyone post a screen-capture of it?

Playstation 5 specifically, as is usually the case with this incorrect stuff as of late.
(Oh, and also the Switch/Switch 2 versions.)

Several people have posted about it on Reddit, it’s just the Season of Awakening roadmap, and the Elusive Target Arcade in place of Freelancer.

Ah whoops, I was talking specifically about the roadmap in my message when I mentioned PS5. I forgot to edit that part after editing other parts.

About the menu layouts, I have said before and I stand, add an option to toggle between 2016/2018/2021/WoA menus layouts/soundtrack. The current one is a complete mess that is the opposite of the proposed.

i think if a tile isnt used it simply turns a small tile into a slim tile

they used to have that. it was called the opening menu screen, you used to see the current ET as soon as you booted up

agreed agreed agreed. idk why we dont have an escalations menu anymore. hell if you moved game modes to the right of the home page we could access everything easier without having to use the destinations tab

i remember challenges being so much cleaner in H1 and H2. i think they used to have a tab just for ET challenges? and now you mention it it’s weird they havent moved the ICA stuff back to hitman 1

this could be fixed by letting us pick themes:

2016 - the red original

2016 - the white GOTY

2018 - H2 grey

2021 - all black H3

WoA - the current theme

i hope samir sees all this - i’ve @’ed him but ofc it’s a coin toss if this gets implemented

alright that’s it. they finally implemented a bug so terrible i might have to just stop playing for a while. now when i play freelancer on ps5 target outlines in instinct just outright disappear. it’s not that theyre no longer red, no they just dont exist. the mission will boot up, every target will be visible, then one or two will go out like a light and in instinct the target will look like a crowd npc even when im right in his face. shameful bug

I have noticed that if the target is a guard and they have their weapon drawn, it still retains its red highlight. Weird, weird bug.

PC players - prepare for all these PS5-exclusive bugs to come your way when they inevitably release the PSVR2 VR improvements on PC. Us PS5 players will no longer be alone on our extremely buggy game fork.

This image miiiight be coming true with the IOS version…

People on the modding discord noticed that the reason some missions couldn’t be played for a little bit is that the entitlements have been updated so that every location is now separate.

Sooooo it might be that the mobile version will have a whole lot of dlcs for each map.
