Season of the High Stakes - Roadmap (Summer 2025) - *July 15th Update*

The accumulation of game-breaking bugs (like disappearance of red glowing in instinct) is very annoying (to stay polite).
Here it’s just an assumption (w/o any proof): because the WoA starts getting old (in terms of video games), perhaps the new developpers don’t know exactly how the game is coded, and when they introduce new lines during a patch, new bugs are created.
If I’m proposing that, it is because it was one of the issue with The Sims 4. Because of the old age of this game, the current developpers don’t know how the game was initially coded. Thus, new bugs rose with the implementation of recent DLC packs. EA hired a team to fix bugs, but the contract was recently over, and not renewed.
As I said, it’s a personnal assumption, and I have no proof for WoA.

Another change I notice this patch (at least on PS5) is that people behave differently when picking up a duck you place in front of them. They get distracted and pick up the duck, but then continue to follow 47 for a bit afterwards

While we’re on the topic of bugs, I had quite an interesting one yesterday. I was messing around in Freelancer, and allowed a body to be found so that the civilian nearby would run away and give me time to hide the bodies in a container without being seen.

When the guard came over, he said a line for not being able to find a reported body, then bent down and played the animation for waking someone up before returning to his post.

Somehow, he woke up an NPC from inside of a container… And she was still able to be attacked and able to see me from where she should be if he had actually woken her up. I was not able to damage her or drag her body after subduing her though, and she could not be found again by NPCs.

IO have gotten slopier this season. New bugs, unfixed bugs that have been around for years, lack of proof reading and localization issues. Have the Hitman team gotten smaller now that First Light is getting close to release? If you are not going to deliver a polished product you might as well stop working on it altogether.

Hopefully all this issues are addresed in the next update. Although some of them should be fixed sooner giving how game breaking they are.

And now it’s over. No more missing targets for steam. (4 added to year 5, 2 deleted from year 1, but also deleted heartbreaker and broker from year 2, so yeah, it’s cap)

When this list was first implemented, it may not have been anticipated that over 100 targets would appear on the list.
Targets exceeding the 100-item limit seem to be disappearing in the order they were implemented, starting with the oldest.
YEAR1 will likely also reach zero targets soon.
If internal records remain undeleted, re-displaying them might be possible, but will this be fixed?

Cloud version on Switch is practically unplayable now. It’s freezing constantly now. Sometimes when it first loads, sometimes half an hour in.

I never had freezes before this damn patch.

An easy fix would be to replace all that year X stuff with actually playable ETs, since there are less than 100 :smiley:

I appreciate the intention, but I bet it plays awfully. On screen controls like that are annoying in a simple game, let alone hitman. Could plug in a controller, but you may as well just play on Switch at that point.

The game is full priced and has full download size similar to other platforms. Along with the very demanding requirements, I can’t see many people playing this version at all. (maybe 47 people at the max!)

I get that the pricing is because it’s technically on par with the other versions, but it still seems quite a lot for a mobile game. I thought most successful mobile games were fairly cheap. And they don’t even include Patient Zero in the main game’s purchase though it’s bundled with every other version of the Hitman WoA base game

I wonder how fast playing it online without wifi will burn through mobile data.

So the closest thing we have from the Solstice Suit is:

  • platform exclusive
  • white
  • with driving gloves
  • using the thrice damned signaturesuit_jacket_cheap and signaturesuit_pants_cheap models.
  • and fair for it being platform exclusive though, no providence pin

It’s mocking me.
At this point it’s targeted.


I swear @Combatglue if you end up releasing the Solstice Suit by bastardizing it with the cheap models I will cut myself out.

I was already putting the release of it (or any serious suit), and the swapping of the Season 2 ET pin for a Providence :providence_pin: one as litmus tests to see if IOI cared.
(for the last two years, you and IOI have failed all the ones I could think of, even some I didn’t, and I lowered the bar every-time.)

Yet you somehow found a way to make my worries even worst.

(granted IOI has also found the time to repeatedly butcher my native language, which I have discovered infuriates me. So at this point, sod me sideways.)

Yeah…that’s a lot of money for an iOS port. I’m curious to see how well the game runs on the Mac.

It’s interesting actually on their choice of putting full price because how many developers charge full price for a game port 5 years after the official first release?
