thrison mentioned that they were under H2 rather than WoA, and on my end they are visible in both sections.
Well, they’re still on H2, which makes no sense at all
I believe the reason they are under “Hitman 2” is simply because that’s when those suits released, though they were made available in all 3 games
edit: nvm it released before Hitman 2
I’d say that it makes complete sense when you remember that Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 (World of Assassination) are two separate games, and thus have separate items available. The reward is visible for both games because it is possible to have it in one game but not the other, or possible to have it in both games.
Random thought I had about this roadmap - the second half of the the Twitch Drops (the swimwear and fibrewire) are odd right? Up until this point, Drops have only been activated during CelebrET runs as a way to draw streamers to the game to get them to basically promote the game for free.
But now they’re seemingly using them to promote… The Ex-Dictator and The Politician ETs? What?
They could be planning something, but notice that these are also the days after which they’ll have added the new challenges:
- Big Boom added July 3rd - Casino Chip Drop ends July 5th - Le Chiffre ends July 6th
- Purple Swimwear Suit Begins July 17th - ExDictator begins July 18th - One Too Many added July 24th
- Purple Wire begins August 14th - The Politician ends August 24th - Banana Blazer added August 25th
They’re cutting it close a lot, but it’s done in a way that if a streamer is streaming a new ET or a new challenge, they’re always going to be getting a boost from people who want the drop. Personally it would be nice to get a little extra pizazz, I think challenge packs or escalations could provide a good hour’s worth of stream to get people watching for the drops that’s why I made the Pitch Your Own Escalation thread but I also think they could maybe extend some of the times or add some sort of thing in the arcade which lets you replay specific levels or gives us 1-level only Arcade tracks during these spikes in viewership because I do think it’s a neat system but I’ve seen multiple times when streamers play this game for the new ET, enable drops, then finish the ET in ten minutes and have to waffle around for the sake of their viewers trying random stuff. Kinda kills the momentum
Personally, I think they’re just spreading out the items they wanted to drop to draw more people in, and the fact that they coincide with the release of normal ETs is just convenience.
I knew I saw this somewhere, finally found it again. From the target’s intel:
But be warned: no player has ever beaten him and lived to tell the tale. Forensics have consistently found traces of botulinum toxin in the victims’ systems—believed to be Le Chiffre’s signature poison. If he offers you anything, think twice before accepting.
Botulinum toxin sounds bad enough that people would think 47 would die rather than just passing out (which botulinum toxin doesn’t usually do anyway).
Also, I guess 47 didn’t read the intel.
This is the reason why I’ve asked if LeChiffre actually intended to knock 47 out with the poison or just straight-up kill him and failed because of 47’s superior physiology saving him, and LeChiffre just used that to his advantage to take his unconscious body to the basement for interrogation.
As for 47 not reading the intel, I’m quite sure he did; the fact that we have the intel to read is indicative that 47 received and read it and we the players are just reading it after the fact. I think this is just one of those times where 47’s instincts failed him, which is rare (once in Contracts, twice in Blood Money, twice in Absolution, once in H3), especially when he’s on the job, but even though 47 is a perfect assassin, he’s not a perfect person, so even he can make an error from time to time.
I think the fact that he showed up so suddenly and that LeChiffre was offering the drink so publicly, as well as everyone apparently underestimating how perceptive and predatory LeChiffre really was, lulled 47 into a false sense of security that it wouldn’t make sense to poison a drink in such an obvious manner. Apparently, LeChiffre didn’t care, or spiked the drink with such a small amount that it was meant to kill after the first round had ended and everyone left the table, which is exactly what happened, and the amount was small enough that not only did 47’s senses not detect it, but his body was able to fight off the poison with only a lack of consciousness to show for it.
The poison does create some very funny implications, as no matter where 47 passes out Le Chiffre will bring him to the basement for the confrontation. Passing out in the middle of a crowd of people? Hiding in a corner of the attic? On top of the pile driver barge? It doesn’t matter, he’ll somehow manage to find 47 and drag a 103.6 lb man down to the basement. Seemingly by himself, it doesn’t seem like the guards working for General Murillo would want to help him.
At 6’01”, and as muscled as he is, there is no way that’s all 47 weighs. Especially unconscious, when people seem to gain a full extra third of weight.
He definitely weighs 187lbs.
It’s presumably a reference to the easter egg that scales throughout the game read “47” when 47 steps on them. 47 kg is about 103.6 lbs.
