Yep, and combat wise you can use it to attack like a briefcase, the music only unfortunately plays when placed on the ground but not while you’re carrying it
Indeed, especially the annoying NPCs that have to announce " I think that belongs to you" when you drop something or the guards that like to “sorry you can go through here” when you simply just walking past them
To be honest, I’d rather we got to kill an actual wizard.
What is exactly broken after the recent update because mines still running as smooth as a baby’s arse! ![]()
He’s too busy with Spider-Noir right now.
-Poisoning food/drink is now an illegal action even when wearing the correct disguise, breaking numerous instances of having to poison something while having NPCs in direct line of sight.
-Small gear stashes cause disconnecting errors, so basically unusable as of now (bug that already had to be patched in the past btw, well done IOI).
-Various puking spots all around the game are now broken.
-Various targets’ guard behaviors are now broken.
This is legitimately the worst state the game has been in ever.
Which isn’t really surprising, considering the trend for IOI for the past 2-3 years, if not more, has been to release updates that introduce more and more bugs each time without fail.
I really like it, kinda wish the long rifle case could hold it. I understand why not, it is technically a container itself but the long rifle case looks big enough
Hyperbole is unbecoming. There have been periods where the servers went down and the game was literally unplayable. Bugs will be fixed. Relax.
The post may technically be hyperbole and that can be unbecoming, but equally I think it’s a really weak rebuttal if we’re saying that multiple newly introduced and literally game-breaking bugs can’t be vociferously complained about because our bar for comparison is the servers being down and the game being unplayable. That’s far too low a bar to set, IMO.
I couldn’t agree more, one of my main grips with Hitman is the briefcase system overall, I never liked the static nature of the loadout system when it came to them, 1 item no matter the size, I always would of preferred a more dynamic system where depending the size of the items you could pack the briefcase to your choosing , 1 large SMG or multiple small items like ducks , key cards ect, and for items like the extra large sniper rifles and said boombox you would need to absolutely carry use rifle case or similar to conceal them.
I didn’t say it wasn’t worth complaining about, far from it. If there are bugs they should be pointed out and IOI should fix them. To say that the game is in the worst state it has ever been though is unjustified and demonstrably incorrect. In fact, if that one sentence were removed I’d probably agree with the rest of the post wholeheartedly.
Excellent, I think we’re on the same page, although the hyperbole bothers me less than it does you.
I do worry about IOI’s determination to get timely fixes for important bugs out though - as someone who got a bug fix named after them in a set of patch notes (“Isle Of scat1620”, when they finally fixed the Lucas-Grey-is-missing-from-The-Ark-Society-opening-cutscene bug) because I had to bang on and on for literally months (it may have even been more than a year) about a bug that they introduced that fundamentally ruined one of the key pillars of the narrative experience of the trilogy, I don’t take on trust that IOI will promptly fix important things when they break them. And they absolutely SHOULD, with the amount of money that we’ve all ploughed into this game.
Agreed.
I think honestly hyperbole is warranted here because I do think the bugs theyve added are uniquely bad for WoA and fundamentally what is the only place to play this trilogy. If I could simply play the game offline and not need to install updates I could downgrade my copy but im buying all the DLC to support IOI and support this live service system and to have three or four game-breaking bugs introduced per patch is really bad
I wonder if the plan at one point was to have a soccer themed Celeb ET, given the many football themed items in the World Champions pack, but then the deal fell through.
Just seems very strange to put in the effort to have designed two distinct soccer team outfits, with even brand new sponsor companies not seen in Hitman WoA (at least, not to my knowledge), just for a DLC pack. Also weird that we get two DLC packs now, when it’s been just one at a time since Freelancer launched. Also weird that it gives so much in it, the previous celeb DLCs have all been 1 suit and 3 items, but this one is 3 suits and 6 items (technically 9 counting the Disruptor ones).
My guess is they were planning on some big football player for the celeb, and started to make assets for the mission, but then the deal fell through so they repurposed the team jerseys as suits and threw in a few extra items they had made for the mission so they wouldn’t go totally to waste. The Vuvuzela Duck twitch drop is another soccer tie-in even though there’s no football related mission, and it kinda seems similar in design to the other Celeb ET IO account ducks. Not really sure where a football field would even fit though, maybe Mendoza?
Hawke’s Bay would have been my first guess since it’s super empty, but I’d rather have beach volley than soccer here.
That would be awesome, personally not a soccer fan but would love to see IOI repurpose Miami into a sports arena, I wished for something like that since they released the New York mission , there’s a small room to the left of the entrance where two guards are chatting and a baseball segment is on tv, I always thought it would be hilarious with 47 dressed as a pitcher and when one of the targets goes up to bat, he swaps a normal baseball with the explosive one, a soccer (football where applicable) game would be just as good
I’ve complete the ET and the Arcade version, and I’ve decided that, yeah, I like them both, for different reasons each. The new version with the Wizard is better in presentation, but the Disruptor version is more entertaining with the characters. Evenly divided, fun in their own ways, unlikable in their own ways. If IOI were going for an equal but different experience with each, then they were a success in that endeavor.
I didn’t mind it at all they were listening when folks said they wanted a solution, owning the original DLC still gives me access to the mission, one that didn’t get to play the original got to at least try the setting, and I believe even access to the original DLCs items, I didn’t even mind paying a few dollars for the rehashed mission, im a older player from a time you bought a game like Street Fighter 2 on the SNES, then Turbo for a few upgrades and finally Super for yet another few, at about $60 or so a pop.
