Seven Deadly Sins Act 5: Gluttony

My feedback from Gluttony:

Personally I didn’t mind it. In my opinion the three stages kind of felt very similar but overall I enjoyed it like I have all the other content we got so far :slightly_smiling_face:

In Outsidexbox’s run (at 2:55 into the video), they threw 1 fish into the pot and somehow it counted as two. It’s unclear, but it may have hit the pot twice and each hit counted as 1 fish?!

Pros:
The food decorations and pig guards look great
Using specific weapons to farm specific items from guards was a cool mechanic and the gameplay was fun
Last one was nicely challenging to do without the security dongle

Cons:
There could be an exit at the pig rather than unnecessarily going all the way towards another exist after feeding the pig
Wish there was a trade mechanic at the food shops outside to exchange/upgrade items for the pig
Some randomness like in Lust or choices-matter like in Pride would render more replayability, hence my wish for a trade mechanic

Overall I liked the map and mission, but the best ones are still Lust and Pride for me

I think its the best sin with Lust
Pride was fun but they didnt change anything

Loved the burping in this deadly sin.
Someone was paid to gulp 4 L of coke really fast and then belch into a microphone.

Thumbs up from me to another episode of this DLC. I like the tone of the deadly sins DLC. I liked how you can choose your targets somewhat. Any excuse to play Hitman is always fun for me.

This one was great. This one and the first ones are the two dlc levels that hit the mark, for me.

That is simultaneously ridiculous and amazing!

I’m feeling hungry for Envy already. Or was it Wrath the next one?

Envy. They swapped the last two sins according to the Gluttony trailer.

Makes me wonder what grand finale they’ve got cooking, if they chose to end it on that one

Played the Gluttony Gobble (I think that’s the right title? There’s two.) and it was a pretty unique escalation. Any Pig-masked target is fair game. Pretty open-ended.

The cosmetic changes to the map were interesting to see. Nothing game-changing, but some were noticeable, themed stuff. It’s better than Pride at least, that just had a few peacock statues around the place.

The theming of the overabundance of Food and the various effects of the Piggy were pretty cool. The restaurant looks awful and cluttered, but fitting for the Sin… The Pig statue being this massive beast is really imposing, as he should. The room shaking after every feeding was a cool effect, too. Also, in the opening cutscenes, anyone else think that it looked like 47 was a small man standing on a dinner table? Looked like that to me, could be a fitting touch to it.
The burping was a bit much, though. It’s basically the only thing Gluttony Voice does, and he does it way too much for comfort. The first two gave me a mild chuckle, the rest of it was just anxiety-inducing.

If there’s one thing for certain I’ll say this: After playing this, the Sin’s Fan Art basically writes itself.
This one’s gonna be easy (concept-wise), and already fits with an idea I’ve had for a month. Also, yay! More drawing golden statues! I’ve missed that…

Yep the burping got annoying pretty quickly.

I like the masks though, felt like I was playing Hotline Miami the map having similar neon aesthetics as well. Good thing you can also choose the targets somewhat.

It’s an average escalation overall. I still prefer Lust.

I finally got the time to play the Escalation over the weekend. A solid Escalation that I spent around 5 hours on. It’s not as good as Lust Assignation but it’s much better than some of the previous ones.

Level 1 - 2:42/5* SA
Level 2 - 3:09/5* SA
