Seven Deadly Sins Act 7: Wrath

That is OP as hell. Awesome design/markup though.

I would personally really love some hybrid, degradable items in this game. Items that are powerful but one- or two-use only are excellent for encouraging creativity and resourcefulness. The tranq/vomit guns do this, as do the rusty nails & crowbars to an extent (I expect to see similar mechanics/items in Project 007).

But I’d love an item that’s something like a “one use lock pick and also one taze charge” or “cat’s claw cool reskin but also has one dose of emetic poison” or “here’s a wrench that shoots 6 bullets too.”

IOI devs, do better than me.

Hahaha, that wasn’t even fun. Level 2 is more challenging than 3.

I’ve solely played this in VR and have really enjoyed it. I finally beat level one, and started Level two sneaking up on the groups with just a baseball bat and really loved that method.

Here’s how the end of Level one looked in VR:

Here is my first run of Level Two (where I decided sneaking up on the groups with a baseball bat was a lot of fun)… but you can only maintain it so long against large groups!

The map itself looks beautiful and I like how dark it is.

I’ve only played the first level, but I have enjoyed it so far. The wave system is interesting, and although I didn’t use them in my run, the trap system is interesting.

After playing level 2, I have began to realise how tedious the DLC is. I like the concept, even if it isn’t really Hitman esque, but the execution could have been better.

This was quite cool. It’s a nice twist to the formula, and the atmosphere was definitely cool. My biggest gripe though, is the voice over. She just didn’t sound very convincing. Her performance was overdone, annoying and hard to listen to at points. I suspect it might just have been one of the developers? If she was actually a pro VA, then she just didn’t fit this part.

Also, I kind of wish it would have ended in more of a shootout with a lot of firearms and some enemies that were easier/more fun to shoot down. This was the first 7DS episode I bought, the others were just too goofy to appeal to me, and overall I felt I got what I paid for because of the great atmosphere, tension and creativity in the level design.

if 47 were as tanky as he looks this could have been more fun. man’s as fragile as my phone screen

I actually thought she was really good. She’s one of my favourite VAs in the game anyway though, but considering it’s the season of wrath, I thought she nailed it… having said that, I did think she sounded a bit like Karen Gillan as Nebula lol.

Overall though, really didn’t like this one. Even when you know where the guards spawn from and their routes, by wave 3 you’re relying a lot on luck/rng with the melee which always makes for shitty escalations.

I also liked Dartmoor at night, but this was my least favourite of the 7DS, although to be fair most of them have been poor, Sloth & Lust were really the only two I “enjoyed”.

This one is irritating me. Haven’t been able to get past the 2nd wave yet, but then again, I hadn’t really gotten a groove going. I think I have now, using the strategy of knocking out one inhibitor and then Home-Aloning the place, but I kept accidentally killing myself setting some of the traps (seriously, what in the ever-loving fuck is detonating the stove gas leak in the kitchen, I turned the fucking things off!!). I think this one is gonna take me a while, but as frustrating as it is (just like Sloth, Lust, and Envy were), I am having fun with it.

Personally, I’m not very impressed by the Wrath voice at the beginning. I’m rarely intimidated by angry-sounding women, so she doesn’t come across as very threatening to me. Wish they’d have used the VA for The Maelstrom instead, that motherfucker sounded intense when he got angry.

I’m not going to be able to hear anything else now. :joy:

I’d also like to know the answer to this…

With the Stove I think that was an issue with the original Dartmoor Map. The stoves are too close to the Fireplace in the Butlers office and so triggers the explosion.

I also killed myself a few times (electric puddles)… I didn’t have the oven explosion like you did (I turned a middle one on but never used it)…

But I can’t figure out how to use the gas canisters, I loosen them, wait for enemies, turn on the generator… and nothing happens (everytime).
What am I missing?

I’ve a question: There are related challenges saying: “Finish the escalation level before any inhibitors reach the last floor”. To unlock it:
Does it mean that none of the enemies must reach the last floor?
Or is it only the “targets” (the ones in red with instinct)?

Thx in advance

It’s just the red-marked targets. I had one that got to the stairs and had maybe one or two steps left but didn’t actually hit the top floor.

Thanks for the reply

Either shoot the gas canisters or throw a car battery at them to explode. Accidently found out about that one when playing.

I would’ve liked to have done a No HUD/No Instinct run as this is generally my preferred playstyle, but the awful lighting and erratic npc behaviour was just too annoying.

Played it for the first time and fnished the themed escalation this weekend. I’m a little bit mitigated for this escalation.
On one side, the first time I’ve played it, I didn’t have much fun as I expected when the wrath season was revealed. Blasting enemies isn’t the general theme of the WoA trilogy, that mostly focuses on social stealth.

However, the escalation was eventually enjoyable after few retries, when I figured out how I can deal with the different waves of enemies.

I took my time to organize my strategy. I used all the time left at the beginning of each level to grab any useful items (lethal or not). I also triggered all the distractions. Very useful to slow down enemies.
To be honest, I also used the cheeze strategy of KOing one inhibitor at the beginning of each wave. This way, I had enough time to set some traps for the next wave. I struggled with the sniper rifle, so I didn’t use it for my successful runs. I prefered use the shotgun.
I also brought the proximity bombs, very useful to set traps.

Finally, I learnt the direction of the different groups of inhibitors. They always start at service entry, by the kitchen. Indeed, it was easier to find a quick route to reach the different groups of enemies. Tried to kill first the inhibitor of the group.

Did use “search and destroy” strategy: sought for the group, killed the inhibitors, withdrew quickly to recover health if required, came back to finish them off.

Managed to finish the escalation and unlock all the related challenges. To be honest, I’m glad that there are not challenges related to accident (like “killing 3 enemies in an accident during the same wave”). I would be p***ed off with these kinds of things.

Ok, I didn’t like this one. The first of all the 7DS I’ve just done to be done with. Nothing wrong with a kill everyone challenge, but this one was just annoying. Didn’t use any traps or crates. Just killed the guys. Don’t really see the point in this escalation.
