I’m late to the party but the Prestige system sounds perfect to me as someone who lost motivation at around mastery 70 after doing the non-grind trophies and maxing out my equipment wall. More XP gain for mastery + I have to improvise weaponry on the fly again like when I first started = exactly what I needed to make me come back and play some more.
Any further news on the Sunset Stadia items dropping? I know it was mentioned a while back and I was hoping they were going to drop in the May update.
If they were coming tomorrow I think they would’ve announced them in the Spring Roadmap, though they could be adding challenges to unlock them in this patch but not activating them till later (like how they added the November/Winter roadmap challenges in the October patch last year). I just hope 3 of the 7 promised challenges/unlocks later this year aren’t for the Stadia items.
It felt so weird doing the Boom Beats Blah challenge, cause it’s a rare bit of post-launch content which actually allows you to save while doing it! We’ve only gotten stuff that allows saving 5 other times over the course of Hitman 3 (Sept 26 2021 - Rave On Suit challenge, Oct 7 2021 - Jaeger 7 Covert and Claw Hammer challenges, Nov 4 2021 - Polar Survival Suit challenge, July 26 2022 - Ambrose Island, Oct 6 2022 - Agent 17’s Signature Suit challenge)
Anyway, now I have access to not just one useless explosive pen item, but two! I haven’t been able to think of any situation where the explosive pen could actually come in handy. It might be interesting if it was a proximity explosive for whoever comes to investigate the body, but it’s not.
Is it just a reskin of the one from the undying ET? I’ve not had chance to log in and do it yet.
They gave the Ancestral Fountain Pen as an unlock for an ET Arcade bunch back in November, which seems like it was supposed to be unlocked with the other Freelancer items but they changed it (why the Ancestral set only has five weapons while the other item sets have six).
The Explosive Pen made available in the challenge today is same one that was unlocked from The Undying in Hitman 2, so they actually made the reskin available before the original in Hitman 3.
Misread the challenge and eliminated Craig Black by shoving his face on the pen. Barely got out alive then learned my mistake when the explosive pen didn’t unlock. Got it right the second time using the miniature remote explosive while he was reading to his fans.
It’s really weird for people like me who already had the pen because after completing the new challenge I got zip.
I mean, your artificially lowered Sapienza completion bar has been restored to its pre-patch position, so that’s something
I am a player who likes the BGM of the main menu of HITMAN1.
However, I regret that since HITMAN2, this BGM can hardly be heard in the game anymore.
So, is it possible to play the BGM of the HITMAN1 main menu when selecting the HITMAN1 stage from the campaign in the main menu?
Similarly, I would like to switch to HITMAN2 menu BGM while selecting HITMAN2 stage from the campaign, and HITMAN3 menu BGM while selecting HITMAN3 stage.
This is inspired by the production of HITMAN1, where the menu BGM switched to a heavier tone when the difficulty level Professional was selected.
Also, when the note menu or save menu is opened during a mission, the BGM changes to the HITMAN2 standby BGM, which should also be changed to match the stage.
For example, if you play the stage from Paris to Hokkaido, the menu BGM should be that of HITMAN1.
For the stage from Hawke’s Bay to Haven Island, the menu BGM should be that of HITMAN2.
For the stage from Dubai to the Carpathian Mountains, the menu BGM shall be that of “HITMAN3”.
I think these minor considerations are effective for the production.
If possible, I would like to see this type of production in future updates.
Almost a month ago I finished a campaing on hardcode mode… got the trophies on the shelves and all.
According to the patchnotes, I should have gotten the bruiser suit, but nope. The challenge is still locked, and the suit isn’t in my inventory…
Does anyone has this issue?
Are you sure you completed the campaign? The challenge was already there, it just didn’t have an unlock attached to it. The fact the challenge is still incomplete sounds like it didn’t register for whatever reason.
I would like to keep the existing contract mode as it is, but separate from it,
I would like to see an updated contract mode v2.0 implemented.
Here is what I would like to see in the new contract mode
Requests for contract mode
・Cross-play with other platform.
・String search of contracts by user name.
・Search for a range of contracts by creation date and time.
・Tagging of contracts and tag search functionality.
・Creation of contracts with a master difficulty level.
・Re-edit and delete functions for contracts that have already been created.
・Ability to display the total number of players who have played the contract
・A function that allows players who have completed a contract to rate the contract. “Like” or “5-step rating(easy to hard)” etc. (and search function by rating).
・Addition of the ability to download contract data and play offline without relying on a server.
・Load-out equipment specification. (e.g., no pistols allowed, only one tool allowed, play only with specified equipment, etc.)
・Designation of starting point. (play only at the specified starting point)
・Designate a starting outfit. (Santa Claus, Clown, Ninja, etc.)
・Fine-tuning of clear times. (only add to clear time, add in 1 second increments).
・Target invisibility by instinct. (As with elusive targets.)
・Addition of target’s escape element (If the target escapes, the mission will fail.)
・Assassination designation by firearm name.
・Designation to stun the target.
・Add double kills to assassination methods. (or fast killstreaks)
・Add indirect kills to assassination methods. (assassination by NPC action)
・Add restrictions that can be found in escalation (fast kill streaks, no actions, no opening doors, not letting go of certain items, etc.)
・Add objectives for obtaining items. (must be taken back).
・Designation of map gimmicks to operate during the stage
・The maximum number of people who can be stunned (e.g., up to 5 people can be stunned, and the game will miss or fail if the 6th person is stunned).
・Only certain disguises can be changed.
・Limit the number of disguises. (specify the number of disguises, e.g., no more than n disguises).
・Limit on the number of times an item can be acquired. (e.g., n times or less).
・Restrictions on dragging bodies (n times or less for dragging bodies, etc.)
・Restrictions on the use of map gimmicks (map gimmick operations are limited to n times, etc.)
・Restrictions on elimination of certain NPCs (e.g., cannot be stunned, cannot be killed, etc.)
・The addition of the NPCs in Freelancer (add/No add selectable)
・Designation of 3 payout objectives and prestige objectives in freelancer (Can choose whether to switch to conventional SA rating or not)
If possible, I would even like to see the game released as a separate game called “HITMAN WOA CONTRACT”.
We look forward to further evolution of the contract mode.

Is it time for a roadmap for summer 2023 soon?

June should be when the Summer roadmap at the earliest, according to the Hitman 3/World of Assassination Timeline that IOI released:
“Keep in mind that some details may change as this is a tentative production plan, but this timeline should give you a good sense of what’s to come in HITMAN World of Assassination in the months ahead.”
To add : the game currently still has a weekly(ish) content release schedule. So if one arrives this Friday, it would be better to have an announcement before. Also, there’s curated contract to be made in June, and it’s always better to not have them as a full surprise.
So I would expect the roadmap Thursday June 1st.
The real question though is : will we have a video with the one and only @Clemens_IOI
