Considering what was revealed a few hours ago, It’s possible we’ll be getting Patrick Gibson.
Wait, what am I missing? I didn’t see any posts anywhere talking about such a thing, what was revealed a few hours ago?
I like the twitch drops.
I like the swim-suit. I like the completion of the default loadout in purple. I appreciate the IOI duck. I’m intrigued by the casino chip.
From its name, I wonder if the casino chip could be for a Paris map transformation into a casino, maybe for a celbrET. Maybe a larger surprise. Or just a bond coded cross promotion.
With 007 First light in 2026, IOI changing approach to the community, and all.
I think we are at the end of WoA. Presumably ending at the 10 year anniversary in March next year.
If so, I hope they butter the landing. And we have been in turbulence for a year and a half now.
I still kinda expect a Mindseye cross-promotion next roadmap. An outfit at least. To go with the Freedom Fighter, K&L, and Mini Ninja suit.
It’s traditional.
Also Solstice in a few weeks… Wink wink nudge nudge. ![]()
I certainly hope not. There is way too much left for them to fix for them to be ending it now.
Since two months, I’m doing a break with Hitman. I’ve played only the ET. But I’m kind of fed up with the last elements included in the game the past months.
- Unlocks:
The last unlocks are a big meeh for me. A suit? Again… A non-lethal item? Again… A shoe? Seriously?
I don’t know, but e.g., the antique sedative syringe from Freelancer? We have 100 non-lethal items, 3 emetic syringes, but only one sedative?
They have introduced the RFID taser recently… So IOI has the possibility to introduce new items with interesting gameplay.
- CelebrET
IOI published recently some intels about a possible celebrET in the coming months. I do hope this time they have selected a person (boy or girl) that is free of controversies.
The proposed ET missions are, IMO, rather good and offer new gameplay (the fight in the Disruptor, or the clones in the Splitter).
But the celebrities behind these missions are… let’s say… controversial…
Delisting the Disruptor is a step forward, as the guy is a pile of ****. But since then, we have no news at all, like “This DLC never exists, we don’t know what you’re talking about”. It’s a pity as the mission itself was, as said above, rather good.
To be honest, I don’t care about the presence of a VIP in a mission. To make it clear, the mission is good because of the gameplay it proposes, the context, the opportunities… not because a (un)famous guy accepts to put his face on a NPC.
I don’t know why IOI insists on adding mission only through the inclusion of a celebrity. Implement your mission in the game with a average NPC as the target, that’s all I want.
(It’s a rhetoric question: I do think that celebrities are an opportunity to create DLCs and make more money).
For now, I only find the FC as a kind of refreshing content to the game.
For this summer, if new contents are proposed to the game, I sincerely do hope that:
- We’ve got some news from IOI about past contents
- ET missions but played like any other missions. I think the time for Arcade mission has passed. Play an entire arcade just to play the one we want is… annoying.
- If IOI wants to add missions, no need for a VIP.
- Unlocks with special gameplay, not a new reskin of an item present 100 times in the inventory.
Yes, I know; it’s a long post but I’ve have to spit it out my last feeling about this game I do genuinely love. In a month or two, I will enjoy playing this game again.
There’s gotta be a patch coming tomorrow right? The IOI Showcase Duck and Casino Monarchique chip aren’t in the game files. That way they can have the patch in the morning (in the US) adding the items so by the time of the presentation all the maintenance is finished and they’ve made sure everything’s working correctly.
I doubt they want a repeat of the purple streak coin being unavailable to everyone for a week, especially given a lot more importance is placed on this event.
I can only assume that we’re going back to no pre-announcement of maintenance and it’ll just get sprung on us. ![]()
I posted the same thing yesterday about WOA content possibly ending in March 2026, which is the 10 year anniversary of the 2016 game. Obviously I wasn’t basing this on any information and just merely a possibility, but now Bond has been announced with a release date for next year, I certainly see this now becoming a likely scenario.
We still have plenty of time for plenty big patch updates to address the major bug fixes, so I’m hoping IOI fully capitalise on it ![]()
I haven’t read all comment here. So it might be repetition.
But with the announcement of the IOI Showcase.
It’s talking about collaborations around the Hitman Franchise and for its 25th anniversary of C47. Clearly separated from future content for WoA.
I think @MrOchoa habitual wish of C47 remake/remaster could actually happen.
Then again it is current day IOI…
(edit: I see @Fleur saw it too)
I was just double checking my Twitch account was linked in preparation for tomorrow’s stream and I saw that the Purple coin we got from the last Twitch drop isn’t even in the same order as the other coins in the Distraction items tab. It’s right at the end next to the Big One and the kiwi.
GAME UNPLAYABLE ![]()
The stream tomorrow are definitely some unfortunate hours for European folk. In the UK, it’ll be 2 am so I’ll be on my night shift whilst its streaming! Might have to catch up the following day.
I’m not against unlockable suits. But that… monstrosity is an eyesore.
I agree with the general idea of more unique unlocks. But the developers do need to consider their usefulness to the player without breaking the game before adding them.
The RFID taser, despite being fan-requested, is not a micro-taser, so its actual usefulness is questionable. There’s nowhere to place it in a level, so civilians and guards will spot it, unless you manage to find a puddle that overlaps with cover. And it requires the target to pick up a coin…which just seems unnecessary as if you know the target will go past the puddle, then use a remote and rely on your own timing, or use a proximity taser to do the work for you.
The RFID taser is not that interesting; it’s superseded even by the car battery.
I mean…I guess? My issue with the Disruptor is that the game very clearly wants you to fight him, with only a token attempt to have an alternative poisoning method. I actually found that mission quite linear because of that.
As for The Splitter, I like the idea of clones, that is a good twist that did surprise me. The issue is that killing them is quite derivative of past games (sauna kill, golf ball kill, spotter kill etc.), which doesn’t really offer much new gameplay, so much as barely-disguised reused gameplay setpieces.
Here’s the problem; IO were put in an impossible situation. I mean, the obvious solution is to not collaborate with a walking red flag planter that had an ongoing civil court case. But outside of that, they were responsible enough to remove all references to Conor, delist the DLC so no more money could be made, and move his ETA mission to the back.
Kind of answered your own question =P
It’s more than that. It’s a pattern of behaviour that they know works, know that will make them gain more players, however briefly, and they know that it makes them money. I’m fine with CelebrET’s, i am not fine with [insert profanity here] like Conor being hired.
I find Featured Contracts to be very hit-and-miss, i’m afraid, which is partly why I don’t do them too much (that, and I have most of the unlocks via the H2 → H3 transfer system).
Either that, or they’ll be added later in the week.
Yeah, it certainly can be interpreted in that way imo. Personally, I would love it if they ever do C47. But my first guess would be Blood Money, if they weren’t just going for all of them.
CORRECTION
- Suit up in-game with your new Duck whenever we decide to add it into the game files (probably next week)
im sorry but are they really broadcasting this at 2am uk time?
Or probably late June, just like the Disruptor Season.
I don’t know how long the IOI showcase is a live stream, but I think it will be very difficult for players who only have access for a limited amount of time to participate in this Twitchdrops viewing.
Depending on the country you live in, it may be work time, or it may be late at night and some people may be sleeping.
They don’t seem to be dealing with those people.
If it had been under the condition that the 24-hour broadcast was in a repeating rerun state and could be viewed at any time within the time period, it would have been possible to participate.
Oh boy, I am looking forward for IOI showcase. Let’s just see what time it is…
(adjusts PT to UTC+01:00)
Oh…
Yep : (
I’m probably going to wake up to the forum talking about it anyway but can someone tell me what happened when I wake up tomorrow?
I was sure that Ioi Showcase was now. Then I saw that “18 PDT”, not “18 CEST” ![]()
