Summer Roadmap 2023 Thread

I can spare 5 bucks to get the Sarajevo Six.

Ah, but remember, we have access to tools and gameplay mechanics that we didn’t have the last time these guys were around. Getting that Colorado guy could be as easy as one well placed Sieker dart.

He would still have his enforcer entourage that would follow him to where ever he goes to vomit.

A screwdriver to the face is all he deserves.

Maybe you know, but if not… That S6 target had multiple bodyguard escorts that were like a certain… annoying NPC from a mostly hated 2016 escalation.

That’s neat!
Looking forward for replaying Sarajevo 6 at soon!

Plus if we look at other stuff that is old and got available much later (Deceiver’s bodyguard, Ritter’s bodyguard etc) is that IO does not update their AI to today’s bodyguard AI. They might just ignore all attempts of distraction.

Now that we have TS6 on PC. Will we ever see Mark Faba making a return?

That’s fine, you just need to have the means to make him go where you want and his entourage can be dealt with along the way. We do have means of hitting whole groups with emetics.

Emetics aren’t necessarily going to work. Unless IO makes changes to it, currently when you get close to the target and/or his entourage when they have been emetic’d - the stalker AI takes priority over going to a spot to vomit or they will actually stop vomiting and start following you around again (although they are now not enforcers because they’ll return to vomiting once you get far enough away).

Still workable, all I need is for him to walk ahead of his group on his way to a puke spot and then trailing behind that I can trigger a propane explosion in his path while they are far enough away to live.

That’s what I did to finally get SA. But I couldn’t tell you what number attempt that was.

Even though it’s paid DLC, it’s nice to see the content back.
Since I’m here, I would also like to have permanent play rights (including offline) to the ā€œElusive Target (single)ā€ by the way.

More to the point, I would be greedy to see ā€œGary Buseyā€ and ā€œMark Favaā€ if I could, even if I had to pay the added fee.
Of course, I am well aware that this is a difficult task.

Actually, I’m surprised it doesn’t cost 29 bucks!

It’s still pretty cheap even if it’s old and not particularly impressive stuff, but it could be the only recent Dlc I’d pay for this game actually.
More this than the scrappy stuff they release for Freelancer! :face_vomiting:

Since they’re adding the Hokkaido and Haven Island starting suits, sure would be nice if they did the same with the rest of them, so we can use gloveless variants on all maps.

Well it’s delightful to come home to find a roadmap published.

Yay for the Sarajevo 6. I wonder if it became open to publish because of the de-listing of H2016.
Also yay for the trinity suits.

10 for them is good, not by themselves, but Hitman 3 has entertained me for two years and a half, and besides Freelancer was free. So I’m cool with it.

Outside of them, it’s a standard Y3 roadmap, ET heavy. To be honest I think it means that, for me, I will continue to not really play the game outside of a quick weekly ET completion. Then, certainly in August, I will come back to it a bit more substantial play.

I also just did the Hokkaido challenge, manage to do it SASONKO no firearms.

are you just trolling @Heisenberg now?

I will say I do like the challenge added in Hokkaido for finally giving a purpose to the morgue tables. Outside of the one you can start on, I’ve never used the others to hide in all the time I’ve played Hokkaido across the trilogy, not even on Master.

I don’t want to harsh everyone’s buzz, but I do feel the need to express the personal feeling that there’s something… icky about paid cosmetic/reskin unlocks in an always-online single player game.

Of course I am a hypocrite and will give caveats and full disclosures.

We love this game and we want to support the devs, so paying for cosmetics is ok with many of us.

I myself pre-ordered H3. That and Return to Monkey Island are the only games I’ve ever pre-ordered, partly because I could anticipate the level of quality I’d get, and partly to show the devs support.

I like many of you also want a complete career inventory with all suits and items. Although I’ve accepted I’m never going to grind for that arctic sniper, because that mode isn’t interesting to me and also fuck that.

Still, this is a trend in gaming that totally sucks, and even our beloved IOI hasn’t avoided it. I support them and I support all of you, but someone has to say it: paid cosmetics are bad.
