I’ve kept this secret since the start of January, but I’ve been making a comic series; Phantasy Annie!, about an imaginative girl who sees reality a little differently…
Set in the sleepy village of Mildenhall, the comic details the surreal and oftentimes fantastical adventures of 12 year old Annie Ellison, who, due to their over-active imagination, often gets lost in her own scenarios, fuelled by what she see’s around her, always affecting the people she talks to and shaping how she see’s her surroundings.
However, while the real world and her imagination may collide on occasion, Annie has one secret she wants to keep hidden…
…that may be overselling it a bit, given only the cover and the first page are out. Anyway, here’s the first page!Updates Tuesday and Friday/ Saturday if you wanna keep a track of it.
these look so loose and fluid! especially that second one. envious about that and the fact that you’ve actually seen the new spiderverse (still can’t see it yet )
It’s been awhile since I posted !!
I don’t have new Hitman fanwork sadly It’s been years since I got into the fandom but here’s a drawing of my favourite 1900s baseball catcher — Ossee Schreckengost ! Maybe someone is also familiar with him here … by chance ? :0
I finally painted the first model in my Warhammer 40K T’au Empire army. I have a lot of things to learn and need to practice. Haven’t painted since early high school. Used contrasts paints. I’m actually happy with the colour scheme I’ve chosen, maybe a little garish but I like using bright colours. Probably a good idea to start with the black first rather than the yellow. I put some gorilla glue on the base to give it some elevation and a few stick on bushes. I’m not sure I’m ever going to care that much about basing but this is quite a quick way of doing it. I have a lot of infantry models like this so plenty of practice.
I don’t know if it’s what you simply had on hand at the time, but the green, fuchsia, and purple colors you chose for their names in that first page are superb. They complement the page well
A while back I posted this, but now that the graphic novel minor is coming closer i decided to make a character line-up of the 4 most important characters in this book
Jo Jörgen Oppenheimer - Main character
A powered bodyguard for the Hjårkelstïgg estate, tasked to protect bride, Nina, at her wedding. After the wedding gets crashed and him and Nina crash land in the Netherlands he’ll be wrapped up in the biggest adventure of his life.
Nina Hjårkelstïgg - Secondary Main character
Her happiest day of her life gets turned into the most life changing 3 days of her entire existance. This journey will have her discover the “real world” as well as her real purpose.
Sautin Revelle - biggest side character
A recently retired information broker with suicidal depression. At first unwilling to help, but slowly becoming more and more involved in a struggle that makes him realise his reason for being again.
Pablo Siccuti Del Toro - Antagonist
Goal driven and ruthless, crashing a wedding for a reason none of our main characters know, then following them anywhere they try to escape or hide. He will get what he wants.
There are a couple ways to interpret this, but saying that sounds arrogant. I just made it because I hate moving on and letting go of things. It can feel quite alone
Sounds interesting and like a real ride. I hope you’re able to show us the whole thing once you’ve submitted it.
I don’t know if it was intentional but I like how the sea almost looks like the sky, like another layer of sky made of clothes, it makes it seem a bit surreal.
Woooooo V1deost that looks amazing!! I know that sea can feel daunting and isolating, but seeing you make personal art on your own terms like this is always great to witness!!
Really cool, reminds me of “Wanderer above the Sea of Fog”, though in this one I like that the patterns look a bit artificial/abstract. Really good job!
I adore the intense feelings of isolation and scale this piece gives me. You did a great job with textures of the rocks and the water. Both super unique while staying recognizable as those things.
Id love to have this art served to me as a fine dish i can completely enjoy with each bite
Btw if I had to point out something, I would say the city skyline looks more toony than the rest of the picture.
I think if the buildings would look more like glassy monoliths with no surface details, only a color gradient that make them contrast from the background further up, it would fit better. Maybe without having much of a different shade to each other except very few that reflect the sun to the viewer.
