The HMF Discord Server

Hey everyone,

I’ve set up a Discord server for Hitman Forum. Part of the reason for it is so that everyone on the Minecraft server can talk to each other, but the other reason is also that anyone on the forum can casually chat to each other.

The server is currently a work in progress, so feedback is appreciated. It is invite only, so please tag me on this thread or send me a private message if you wish to join.

Me, @Codename-24, and @BlossomFox are admins on the Discord server. I’ve also set up a group for Heralds and another group for Moderators. If anyone from either group decides to join, you will be assigned to your group and receive all admin privledges as well.

Please don’t hesitate to share suggestions and ideas for the server. Thank you.

The rules for the Discord are the following:

Welcome to the HMF Discord.

While the HMF Discord is an unofficial part of Hitman Forum, the Admin team strives to make it as well run and civil as the forum itself. We treat the Discord as an extension of Hitman Forum, NOT as an exception to it. Genuine feedback to the rules is always appreciated.

#1: The HMF Discord will abide by the same rules and general ethos of Hitman Forum. You can find those rules below.

#2a: The HMF Discord is moderated by the Admin team. Please contact one of them if you have an issue. A list of the current Admins can be found below.

#2b: All Hitman Forum Moderators and Heralds who join the Discord will also receive full admin rights. However, they are under no obligation to moderate the Discord. They receive these benefits to reflect the trust and respect they have in the community.

#2c: The Discord Admin will comply with any orders made by the Hitman Forum Moderators.

#2d: The Discord Admin will also keep the Moderators informed of any news they feel is important. This includes reporting members of the Discord for acting inappropriately on the Discord.

#2e: If a user on Hitman Forum is suspended for a period of time, they may also be suspended from the Discord. If a user is banned from Hitman Forum, they will almost certainly be banned from the Discord as well.

#3a: The Discord is not a private space. While only some Hitman Forum members use the Discord, that does not mean you can complain, gossip, or spread rumours of members not on the Discord. If you have an issue with someone on Hitman Forum, either sort it out with them via private message, or contact a Moderator on Hitman Forum if necessary.

#3b: Likewise, the same goes for complaining about how Hitman Forum is run and/or moderated. If you have an issue that needs addressed, contact a moderator, or make a topic in the forum’s “Site Feedback” category.

It’s nice to see all those who have joined so far. The big thing to announce is that there is a thread dedicated to the livestream of the State of Play of 007 First Light. So if you want to come and watch it with other users live on Wednesday, feel free.

Oh shoot wait, you made an official discord server for the forums itself?? Ohh based on your comment and DM I thought it was just gomna be for the Minecraft stuff.

(Also I thought there was already a HMF discord out there, guess I’m wrong, thinking of something else?)

Ahh, I think I confused myself with the OFFICIAL Hitman discord server. Because I know that’s a thing, I was once in it, but found it way too busy to keep up.

Hopefully this HMF one stays a bit quieter (I will still not keep up with all the postings lol)
