The Season of Eminem VS Slim Shady (Winter Roadmap)

Let me rephrase: if Hitman follows the template of this single month of December 2025 I would be more than fine.
And December is the only “normal schedule” month of the whole roadmap.

This month is:

  • one new gameplay content
  • one serious unlock
  • one goofy unlock
  • one community wishlist unlock
  • two returning ETs
  • two FC batches
  • two (rumoured three) more items under various means

I don’t extend judgement on January and February. because them being “catch up galores and nothing new” is the usual.
I just disagree with you as singling them out as representative.

Yours is a valid opinion though. I would not say no to more content.
I hope mine is too.

Besides I have never hidden that my issue on content was not on quantity (the usual one unlock per month), but on quality (A Shoe, Pinot Noir, goofy unlocks only, Freelancer Coin as is, non-micro RFID…)


Also we have the Co-Op coming up.


As for my “stacked” comment, it was because of the higher number of unlocks, it’s a list for the whole sentence.
Man, at least engage on the intent, not weaponise my syntax.
It’s unpleasant and makes me want to leave the forum again when you start acting this way.

I think that they are aiming all on the co-op release since i suppose they need to make maybe new missions (or use the freelancer random target concept), new dialogues, new mechanics and maybe more.

And of course i think they are not done with celebrity ETs and if they do others, it will also be a lot of work, they said that a mission like the slim shady one takes at least 3 months so it’s another work that could be an obstacle for making a rich roadmap.

What i don’t understand is why only two new challenges every two months, maybe i’m wrong but i think that making a new challenge doesn’t take that long.

Also maybe if they extend the mastery levels for every location it would be cool because there are tons of challenges, you can literally go already at level 10 by doing (if i remember) 3/4 mission stories. Extending the mastery levels by recycling stuff or making new one could be more engaging for people who want to complete non rewarded challenges while progressing with mastery.

The Chainsaw Ducks have started to arrive in IOI accounts.


They are proximity explosives and make roaring sounds that attract the nearest NPC.
And a larger chainsaw roar as they activate to detonate.

In gameplay, it is a reskin of the (before unique, I believe) Iconator, with its own flair.

This feedback is stuff we all said last year about the Winter roadmaps too. combatglue seemingly didn’t care and never passed it on/did anything with it.

Is anyone else unable to begin the Twitch drops? I gotten every other one, however it isn’t showing up on my Twitch.

I would echo the sentiments shared here about the typical end-of-year roadmaps. While there are certainly good elements here including a new elusive target, some new items that appear to be more than just reskins of existing stuff, and new challenges, the …galore elements leave something to be desired for long-time players.

If you’re new to the game or missed portions of the previous year, I assume they’re welcome additions. If you played those missions when their Year 5 versions were initial released or dutifully watched Twitch to get those items when they first came out, there’s not a lot there to keep long-time players engaged.

Having missed zero elusive targets or twitch drops, I really have no reason to open the game as soon as The Sensation is taken care of. There is no content provided for veteran players after that elusive target until likely March.

@thrison posted this picture earlier and it really shows what long-time players have to look forward to for the next three months:

For roadmaps that cover this amount of time, wouldn’t it be better to space this stuff out a little more so both new and old players have a reason to keep coming back all season long? Everything in this roadmap that applies to a veteran player can be accomplished in December so there is no content provided for January or February here unless a player is just too busy or too lazy on release days.

Imo, they really should make at least 6 challenges, if they plan on continuing these 3 months long roadmaps. There’s more than enough suits/items to have as unlocks for that.

As a general disclaimer: nothing to communicate on Co-Op. It’s coming together. It’s worked on. It’s shaping up well. No timeline to announce.

The roadmap breakdown was pretty descriptive, and with nothing new to note, fairly so.
The Dragon Duck might be coming back at a later date, as a drop return.


Play of the new ET with a developer, Håkan Almer

Artjom plays the Eminem vs Slim Shady Elusive Target for the first time.
He is accompanied / backseated by Håkan, a developer of the same mission.

Håkan Almer is a level designer, at IOI Malmö.

  • How does the process starts:
    • Organically, in flux, pitches are made, the location map is not set on from the start.
  • What is the first thing done?:
    • For this one, it was an (indirect) back and forth with Eminem, on what he wanted to theme on, what he wanted to see, have in…
  • How long did it take to make?:
    • 3 months.
  • What were your responsibilities on the mission?:
    • Håkan is the Track Lead, responsible to plan everything, coordinate everything, figuring the mission stories, the opportunities, where they are in the level, where their intels and related items are…
  • The mirror, portals, and the House?:
    • It was not a starting fundamental pitch of the mission, but came in consequence of the fundamental pitch, of the mission being more psychological, not in the real Hitman world, dream-like.

Maybe, it’d be a good strategy: bringing new players into the game after announcing Eminem and then bring back McGregor, (another nowadays celebrity) it’s like a popularity boost that doesn’t require having to call a new celebrity

I don’t think IO will give any advertisement to McGregor given his not so great legal status which is the reason the DLC was removed to begin with. At most, I can see the pack getting shadowdropped with little to no advertisement. That is if IO really has plans to bring it back, because is also very possible that I’m just full of shit.

I would hope IO wouldn’t support a rapist. I think it should just be rebranded under another mma fighter instead of just being re-released.

The order of the content appears to have changed from left to right: “Celebrity,” “HITMAN3 ET,” “HITMAN 2 ET,” “HITMAN ET,” and “Mixed ET.”
However, the possibility of “The Disruptor” being resurrected cannot be ruled out.
It would be great if those who missed out on purchasing the DLC due to the sudden discontinuation of sales would have another opportunity to do so.
It’s a bit sad to see a freelancer’s shelf sitting empty.

Ah ok. I think Hawkes Bay is the easiest of all. To get Raynard with Fiberwire.

I used Hawkes Bay for that one too. Just waited in the closet for her to brush her teeth and dumped her in the bin outside the bathroom door.

I have noticed that Hawkes Bay now leaves one guard right by the escape boat after the gas can explodes. Could have sworn all three left to investigate the exploding car before.

All 3 left for me when playing HB recently go complete this specific challenge… but I’ve experienced one of the mercs staying by the boat after the explosion on and off for years on Nightcall. The NPC AI scripting usually works as intended here but not always - for me that’s nothing new, it’s always been a little buggy.

I’d suggest playing again and seeing if it’s consistently borked for you now, but I imagine this will end up being a 1-in-20 runs bug like I’ve seen over the years.
