Allow me to slide in the SANKO challenges here…
(I am without any shame ^^)

They are what inspired @magicdave94 to post his classic Fiber-Wire to unlock the Tie challenge that was just released after all.

With the release of the Keeping the Magic Alive challenge in a few weeks, Hitman 3 will officially have gotten more content added to it than Hitman 2016 had! Hitman 2016 got 112 things, while Hitman 3 will have 113.

This is just based on quantity not quality and in these totals, new missions and challenge packs count as just one thing. And maybe there’s some stuff I counted that I shouldn’t have, and some stuff I didn’t count I should’ve. I didn’t count any Twitch Drops since they aren’t anything in-game, and I only counted ETs once when they were truly brand new.

But regardless, it’s kind of a funny milestone that Hitman 3 reached this point after almost five years while 2016 reached it in about 1.66 years. That’s the power of grinding out a bunch of escalations and ETs!

Yeah adding it to Freelancer would be pretty cool. To be fair, I thought they might have done this with them adding a few new items to the weapon wall in this update?

Freelancer and Ambrose Island came to everyone for free, unannounced by the time of H3 release. No one knew it was included in the package. Huge value added.

Those might have taken up some time, which could explain why, in terms of pieces of content, it only reached the H2016 threshold now.

@thrison could you update the original post to include the roadmap image please? for convenience sake and to be consistent with the other roadmap threads.

I’m going to go with the fact that since nobody is discussing any other part of my ramble, I’ll take that as implicit approval of it, espcially since that challenge was one very small part of it.

This is nothing to do with what you said by the way, just noticing the trend here.

hope someone from io sees this,

i know ive posted this like five times but they should also add a new tab here just for challenge packs to clean it up a little

A small guide for the ā€œA Tie to Die Forā€ challenge in New York. SASONKO Fiber-Wire.

A bit motivated to showcase the frequently unknown unique Television Distraction in the Vault Security Hub.
Which attracts and isolate permanently the majority of the guards of the hub, because baseball and NYC.

I don’t really mind these being in the H3 tab, it makes the navigation of finding these packs a lot easier for most players (and in UI design, that matters more). And while they go around the WOA trilogy, these did release in H3, so they do fit under the tab too.

The game has bigger UI problems (see: the front landing page and it’s two big-ass tiles):

Compare this with Heritage UI:

Much cleaner layout, with more compact tiles that make better use of the space, and still prominently showcases the story, freelancer, and the elusive target, while having smaller tiles for other content/ game modes/ loading/ adverts.

I do like that the Live page actually got populated with content. Finally!

(thank you). Just need to wait for SMF to update as well so I can update a few mods too. =P

Well, I got the only good tie in the game! Also, that arcade thing went really south. Really, really south. I think I took out maybe 30 bodyguards? It’s done though.

Also, this is the first Hitman mission I can recall where on starting I got a prompt to disable copyrighted sounds for streaming. I don’t stream but I assume turning that option off was why I didn’t have to listen to any of Eminem’s music!

100%. Its the usual Winter roadmap strategy of ā€œlets give the new players things to do, but fuck the players that have kept up all yearā€. There’s zero reason why they couldn’t activate a few extra ETs during the Galore to at least give us something to touch.

Instead, existing players get a roadmap that looks like this and is all over and done with in the first of the three months the roadmap covers:

In like 2018 I said I’d happily buy DLC for Hitman cosmetics all the time to support the struggling company that recently became independent.

Anyway the monkey’s paw unfurled a long time ago and keeps on giving.

Hey Dribbleondo,

First of all: Thank you for your feedback! I of course have the HMF on an open tab and read it diligently alongside the reddit, discord, steam forum etc.

I can 100% understand the feedback regarding the 25th anniversary edition and also the inclusion of the Xbox Play Anywhere announcements as these are defacto not content - neither for new or for established players - and I will bring it forth in the debrief of the entire Eminem vs. Slim Shady release.

Without going into every point of the feedback I feel a lot can be concluded with the content is less than we had before (thx for the example of past roadmap and the challenges) and most of the roadmap content is potentially great for newcomers coming into the game, but severly lacking for established players and veterans of the game. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.

Oh you have my condolences. That place is a cesspool.

You could not be any more correct.

Thank you for taking on-board the feedback, I really do appreciate this increased communication.

In fairness to this roadmap: December is stacked with the usual FC Batch, and even more than the usual number of unlocks.
Historically January and February are an holiday break on content release, so it’s in line with previous years.

With a restart in March.

But, still, yay for more content that are not just returning ETs or FC Batches.
I would approve.

December is stacked with the usual FC Batch

There’s usually two batches in each roadmap, no? How is this any different?

and even more than the usual number of unlocks.

You only have two in-game unlocks (both separated out by 18 days), technically three if you want to include the limited time IOI account duck (only for December). That’s about the same as what we got in the summer.

Historically January and February are an holiday break on content release, so it’s in line with previous years.

Continuing from the above, unless you’re going to tell me that IOI have limited content during summer because they’re on holiday, then players may need to be open to the fact that they can make more stuff in advance, instead of treating the status-quo as something to be expected.

The roadmap seen here is not really any different from the ones we’ve seen throughout the year, let-alone in Winter.
