Yeah many thought so, but it wasn’t like that. It was just what you saw, he got a message from Olivia and the Constant escaped by the help of some random sailor. Nothing special in that ending scene.
I wonder… is it maybe because Haven was a DLC? I mean, not all players bought the DLCs, so maybe the developers decided to not make them important for the story, so that the people who didn’t play them don’t get confused?
I mean in the DLC we learn Edwards has assumed the Partners power for himself and that he’s escaped. Those are pretty key parts of the story
The Grey seeming like he’s betrayed 47 bit is most likely just a little tease to get people speculating and unsure where the plot will go until H3 launches. Otherwise the story would just end on a pretty concrete point, always better to end on a cliffhanger
Grey underestimated the role of the Constant which is why he was not very concerned about his escape, as what went “according to plan” is the tracking of the new identities of the Partners after the mission in Haven.
I was wondering about something… how the fuck did Grey got so much money to form his own militia? I mean, he’s travelling the world and he works with all these people like the maelstrom- I don’t think they followed him for free. And the equipment in Colorado! That must be so expensive, so where did he got all the money?!
I can’t quite remember exactly, but I’m 99% sure that Lucas gave the Highmores the Intel, which led to the contracts on Jordan and Ken.
Lucas knew that Thomas was untouchable on his island, and killing his son would like him out into the open. This is referenced in the Shadow Client cutscene, and the guards outside the barn in Colorado talk about it.
The $3 Billion number is very familiar to me, there’s probably some dialogue somewhere that mentions it. Maybe someone else remembers where that is?
Oh okay! Well that’s interesting, if someone knows where that dialogue is, I’m interested to know! Got it, thanks @Bourbon my mistake, I’ve been paying attention to that in connection with the Highmores all along.
I always thought the Highmores got all the money and Grey just used their story with their daughter to get 47 kill Jordan and with that lure out Thomas, but I didn’t knew that he also took his money.
No, I’m making fun of fans that didn’t care about his death and instead made fun of it. (Pretty sure there are a lot of players who didn’t like him much)
The joke here is 47’s angry, as you can see smoke coming out of his head at the top after looking at the meme.
He worked as a mercenary for 20+ years. Definitely should have earned a buck and made some connections. And clearly he’s the master of manipulation, as can be seen with the four ICA contracts and the fact that he was working as Cobb’s head of security. He’s a smart guy.
And of course after Bangkok he got all the Cross’ money…
