So, I was watching @Dani1o ‘s playthrough of newest ET Arcade, and noticed that finishing move 47 uses. It’s called a brachial stun. But I know that move from somewhere else…
It’s the same that is used by RED Spy in “Meet the Spy” to finish off BLU Medic. It was not invited by Valve or anything, but when I saw 47 chopping his enemies in neck, I immediately thought of this scene.
Wonder how on earth IO thought anyone would obtain it in H1 though (considering what was available in our inventories), since they don’t respond to distractions.
If I had to guess, its probably a relic from before they reworked the ET and she would leave after meeting Dalia. Probably had a drink at some point first.
just found out there is a short version of the bartoli 12g that has wooden parts- not the tactical version. seems to be only found locked in a case in fernsby’s office in some of the levels of the wrath termination.
On Guided/Freeform Training (the yacht) there are speakers and a server rack in the fake water (near the generator on level 0) that plays sounds of waves in the sea. Also, if you blend in at the bar (where Ritter talks to his girlfriend) the crew who you stand in for goes to the bottom floor to smoke in the room with the free crew disguise.
Game: Hitman Absolution
Mission: King of Chinatown
I just wanted to see what does the dealer if the King is poisoned with his drug in his room.
The dealer starts freaking out and would like to flee… By fleeing, it means that he walks slowly to the location of the beginning of the mission (where 47 starts the mission), stands still, and smokes forever. Nothing to say more.
The Market vendor disguise allows 47 to enter the King’s pagoda w/o any trouble. It’s a good way to collect the evidence without being recognized by the policemen.
There is a blending spot inside the King’s pagoda. There is a packet of donuts where 47 can blend in when disguised as a policeman. This spot is not mentioned on Hitmaps.
Mission: Shaving Lenny
The police officer disguise allows 47 to enter the flat (above the convenience store) of the 1st target (Tyler Colvin) without restriction.
The barber disguise allows 47 to collect the evidence situated on the television, but only if the television has been shut down before (by sabotaging the fusebox in the garage). If the TV is on, the TV place is restricted and the barber disguise is not allowed to go in (47 is eventually spotted). To avoid that, TV must be shut off before.
Still surprised to discover things in this game after all these years.
When Dom Osmond goes to the toilet, he asks (not politely) the bouncer (present in the toilet) to go away. The zone becomes a restricting area. When I tried a SA NKO run, I thought that we can use this to get rid of Dom Osmond with the fiberwire. I don’t know how but it turns that the bouncer is aware (or hears something I dunno) and goes for a look in the toilet, and there is no time to hide the body. Will try later by distracting the bouncer before killing the target.

Different remarks about the meeting between Dole and the corrupt officer:
The basement where the meeting happens is a hostile zone, even though 47 is wearing a police suit.
I would like to see if 47 can impersonate the corrupt officer during the meeting. I subdued and hid the police officer’s body (leaving no blood) and waited for Dole. Unfortunately, Bill Dole sees through the police disguise and becomes hostile if 47 is spotted.
Because of above, I left the basement, leaving Dole alone. It seems that it disrupted Dole’s routine, as he remained in the basement forever. Getting rid of the officer in the basement is thus a way to isolate Dole away from public eyes.
The routine of the three targets during this mission seems to be proxy-triggered.
Owens goes to the fireworks storage and stays there forever, until 47 comes close enough to trigger his phone call. He then proceeds to the stand and makes a loop between the fireworks and the stand.
Clay walks and only speaks with the waiter if 47 is in the vincinity. He escorts the waiter to a remote area (hostile to all disguise, even the police suit), and… he’s stuck. He only proceeds and talks to the waiter if 47 is close. It thus seems that you have enough time to save the waiter from him if you want to.
Dole remains in the middle of the crowd. When 47 comes close, he engages his conversation on the phone. He speaks next to a cop, before meeting the officer in the basement.
Fiber wiring Dom in the bathroom is my long-time method. I don’t remember if I KOed the guard or distracted him, but getting Don there can, in fact, be done.
I second this and can confirm it can be done without interacting with the guard, it’s more down to luck. You pretty much have to fiber wire Osmond the instant the guard leaves, because he seems to then stand outside and sees you in the corner of his square eye. Trial and error got me that wiring!
I tried the distraction method today. Before fiberwiring the guy, I threw a bottle on the corner, distracting the guard. It gives me more time to fiberwire Dom and hide his body in the nearby cupboard.
I observed a little bit the behavior of the bouncer. He stays at the entry, but from time to time, he makes a look at the inside of the bathroom, before returning to the entry and guarding it. He repeats this loop forever.
Yeah it’s that little look that gets you caught and it’s hard to anticipate! Sometimes I wire him straight away and don’t get caught, other times I do. I guess it’s best to throw a vessel of glass into the crowded room beyond, including two police officers
In the Santa Fortuna mission story Hector will mention to Andrea Martinez that he sent her gifts. I just now noticed that you can actually see the presents by Andrea’s dumpster. Pobre Hector…
