I’ve been tracking both Voyagers’ progress as long as I can remember. I don’t remember the launch (although I was alive when that happened) but I even have a copy of the gold record that is attached to both.
There are people in the Star Wars fandom community who actually side with the Empire, believe that they are really the good guys, and that the Rebels are the real bad guys. This is an argument that has been going on for a while, and still is, right now, to this day. Most of those who support the Empire, as far as I can tell, are among the same kind of fans of The Boys who didn’t know the show was mocking them.
Had no idea that this was a conversation that was taking place, and gives me yet another reason to have contempt for that whole fanbase.
Today I learned that you don’t need to refrigerate peanut butter. I just assumed it was yet another of those products that you should keep in the fridge after opening, and that’s how my parents always kept it so I just assumed that was what everyone did.
Plus, when I was little we were cleaning out my hoarder aunt’s house and I found a jar of Skippy, and after seeing/smelling the ungodly abomination that was inside it I’m more than fine with keeping the peanut butter in the fridge.
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. I’ve always been a fan of this game (and series). I never had a Nintendo Wii or the PSP. One game from the series on those consoles was ‘Tenchu: Shadow Assassins’.
Being acquainted (only through a certain forum from many years ago) with someone whom I believe worked on the game, said that they hated it!
It wasn’t until the other day did I looked up some gameplay videos on YT to finally see what the deal was with this game. Ah! Now I remember. The way smaller level sizes, the dumb-as-rocks AI… You thought Absolution was bad for the (almost) one-way to progress through a level with checkpoints. Then the boss fights with the QT directions you had to match in order to block attacks.
Spoiler Alert. I only got to the part where Rikimaru fights Ayame, then she runs away, taking Princess Kiku with her. Undoubtedly she was deceived by someone to think Rikimaru was a traitor, or some 4D chess move by whoever since, at that point, it got depressing and I didn’t even want to watch any more of it.
Sekiya seems to be the unintentional comedic relief. He’s either a dumbass or Capt. Obvious. Hell! He should’ve committed Sepuku for being fooled and, essentially, being indirectly responsible for the deaths of the guards that Rikimaru had to kill to defend himself whilst on his way back to the (whatever) in Lord Gouda (cheese’s) castle.
I imagine I’ll pick up where I left off sometime later in the week, just to see how much worse this trainwreck of a game gets.
