I was directed to this website (https://www.hitmanforum.com/) by Epic Games player/tech support - as they were not able to resolve the problem described in the subject line, i.e. Hitman GOTY won’t launch via Epic Game launcher OR clicking directly on Hitman.exe executable.
Specifically, Epic Games player/tech support said the following:
“I would suggest you reach out to the developers, and they should be able to walk you through some troubleshooting steps to hopefully get this issue resolved. For your reference, you may reach their support team here: https://www.hitmanforum.com/
After taking a close look at both the MSInfo file as well as the Epic Games Launcher log you shared with me earlier, I can confirm that there should be no issue on the Launcher side of things.
As far as I am able to tell, it seems as though the game is being launched successfully, but then crashes immediately after launch.
At this point, I would strongly recommend you reach out to the developer so that they can walk you through some troubleshooting steps for the game specifically.”
Please Help resolve this problem…
