I got to thinking about it and realized that there are at least one NPC or disguise that really stands apart from the others in almost all the missions. Some might be hostile in all or most areas. Hereâs my listâŚ
Freeform Training: Terry Norfolk
The Final Test: KGB Officer
Paris: Vampire Magician
Sapienza: Plague Doctor, the Mime and Hippie would be runners up.
Marrakech: The Fortune Teller (or the prisoner )
Bangkok: The Super Fan
Colorado: The Scarecrow
Hokkaido: The Motorcyclist (the Ninja wouldnât count in this instance - as cool as it is)
Hawkeâs Bay: ?
Miami: The Pale Rider, (not the Flamingo in either shirt color)
Santa Fortuna: Taita!
Mumbai: The Holy Man
Whittleton Creek: Arkarian Robe Edit: Richard Wilson (aka) BBQ King
Ambrose Island: The Pirate disguise found in a chest (not Akkaâs buddies)
Isle of Sgail: Burial Robes (Master of ceremonies and Knight would be runners up)
New York: Bunny/Bank Robber (or the Gold version )
Haven Island: Boat captain
Dubai: Skydiving Suit
Dartmoor: The Private Investigator
Berlin: Florida Man (and this mission has a few other individual disguises)
Chongqing: (probably) Angus Pritchard (?)
Mendoza: Tango Musician(s)
Carpathian Mountains: ?
So why make this list? This struck me while thinking of contracts to make that have special themes. Taita and (the) Holy Man stood out when thinking of contracts for the Magic FC submissions. Then I got to thinking how it seems almost all missions have an unusual, whimsical, or special disguise that tends to stand out from any other disguise.
Is this worth a discussion? Probably not. Maybe some of you might disagree with some of my choices.
Re: Miami and ânot the Flamingo in either shirt colorâ. While the Flamingo does âstand outâ as being unusual/whimsical, I donât count it because itâs part and parcel of the mission given the event thatâs taking place. I was almost going to choose it, but remembered the Pale Rider. Florida Man could count.
Iâd say that the Street Performer stands out a lot, not only is it practically useless apart from Contracts and Chameleon (much like the Hippie), it will make Caruso go into Lockdown and flee in the plane if he sees 47 in it, just like the Plague Doctor disguise. (I also didnât know the cut Mime disguise was going to be used for more than Paris, interesting info.)
I personally wouldnât really count The Buccaneer since itâs a Suit (Yes, I realize that the Arkian Robe from Whittleton is also classed as a Suit, weâre ignoring that for now.), and would instead go with the Hippe disguise since itâs visually so different from other disguises in the mission.
I agree, though I think that the Snorkel Instructor would be a runner up, since it just serves no purpose unlike the rest of the disguises. (The exit could easily have been without the suit, like the skydiving exits in Dubai.)
(Yes, even Swimwear has a purpose, it lets you get the key to your hut if you started in a non-Suit Starting Location.)
I personally would go with the Asado Chef, but I get where youâre coming from.
Iâd go with the Providence Doctor, not only does it have a very different color scheme, but itâs so useless compared to the others.
Edit: RE: âthe Arkian Robe from Whittleton is also classed as a Suit, weâre ignoring that for nowâ
I would probably pick the Politicianâs Assistant, itâs just so useless, and has a backpack with super weird attachment points. Although the Politician would be a runner up since the guy does not enforce his own outfit.
In Mendoza, there are many unique disguise. This map comes to my mind always if I try to make any unique specific contract - Chief Winemaker, Corvo Black, Head of Security and Sommelier. And that Lawer too.
Does Helmut Krueger count? Itâs a really unique civilian disguise
What about that one guard whoâs dressed as a chef? I canât remember if it counts as an unique disguise or not
Forgot the Baseball Player in the Directorâs Office.
For Miami Iâd also include the Blue Seed driver disguise, which is unique and worn by only one NPC. Itâs also notable since Blue Seed is not participating in the race and the driver is signing autographs in his own booth near the entrance, this NPC is kinda in its own corner and many players probably wouldnât know he even existed if they didnât set out to do the Chameleon challenge.
Would the Hawkeâs Bay Wetsuit (in the locker room area past the winery barrel entrance) and 47âs Signature Suit (found in Don Yatesâ room when doing the Herald meeting mission story, after you and Diana kill him together) count as that? Both are unique in that theyâre both âyourâ suits but they can be found within the level proper
Dartmoor: Private Detective
Donât forget you can also disguise yourself as Aron Ford Jr (the lawyer in the second floor).
Also for some Bonus Missions:
Landslide: Salvatore Bravuomo Outfit
PZ The Author: Craig Blackâs outfit (notable example of dressing up as one of your targets)
The Drop ET: the unique Alexios Bodyguard disguise
I just realized that the Pointman would be a good 2nd place (after the scarecrow) for the fact heâs the only disguise that lets you legally carry a sniper rifle.
I almost considered the tactical wetsuit, but that and the other could be worn by the player during the mission planning phase. In fact, one of the casual Black suits (with no tie) lets you up to the Villa property. The Requiem Suit allows you to use the shrine as an exit⌠But these 2 canât be found in the mission.
