God that has to be the worst 3d sonic game since sonic adventure 1

I mean, maybe not that bad…

It looks worse than sonic 06 in its current state, rough animations, a lifeless world that looks like something out of phantasy star online, speed that looks boring and unintuitive and baby puzzles

Ricky Berwick surmised my thoughts for me.

But it looks good so far. Leaves much room for improvement but for a game that’s advertised as an open-world/platform game without the depth for gameplay, it’s vastly barren for Sonic to run (or rather, climb walls slowly) around aimlessly.

Even the music is bland and generic, the only thing the Sonic games are usually very good at…

Exactly what I was going to say: It looks like an engine tech demo.

I get that you might not want a sprawling forest where you can run into trees every 5 seconds, but the world looks barren and the floating platforms (while a Sonic staple I guess) look super tacked on, IMO.
I guess we need to see more, if there’s some sort of engaging story to pull this world together, but it looks… very executive-metrics-created, if you get me.

A Warhammer 40K themed Boomer Shooter? Hell yeah!

This trailer hits different, I’ve had a box of those Chaos Space Marines back then

And it will be a part of PS+ Extra and Premium.

I’m guessing this is partly because we are still feeling the effects of the pandemic, but personally, it doesn’t feel like there is a huge amount of stuff coming out in 2022. I wonder if 2023 will really be when things start to tumble forwards.

One of the few games I am interested in is Marvel Midnight Suns, a game by the XCOM people Firaxis. It is a tactical game using Marvel superheroes, although does seem to be a bit more casual friendly than XCOM is. No cover mechanics, no missing attacks, instead this uses a card deck system for each hero that can be upgraded overtime. Plus the main character is a customisable hero who can hang out with other Marvel heroes outside missions. Seems interesting, not sure it is quite what I was hoping for when I was thinking Marvel meeting tactical game like this, but it could work. Will probably wait for the reviews to drop.

Serial Cleaners has a release date: 22 Sept 22 on all platforms.

The first game was a stylish action stealth game that was a lot of fun.

So far only two games have even remotely interested me, As Dusk Falls which is one of those European choice based narrative games and Pentiment, a new game from Obsidian which is like some sort of Medieval detective game.

Not exactly huge news, but Persona getting some well needed ports. Persona 4 Golden was already on PC, but Persona 3 Portable coming to Xbox and PC, Persona 5 Royal coming to Xbox and PC, and Persona 4 Golden coming to Xbox is pretty great. The most exciting one is P3P though since that game has never rereleased since its initial launch on the PSP. So hopefully will be a good remaster like P4G was. Did look a little rough in the trailer, although it seemed to be running at 60fps.

Starfield looks alright. It was exactly the sort of game I was expecting and I was expecting something middling.

It was over the very instant I saw them collect the iron deposits.

Also looking forward to Pentiment.

I won’t be what I wish it would be since it appeared in the rumours. The video game equivalent of The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. But it’s interesting nonetheless.
And I follow J.E. Sawyers stream too much to not be hyped.

The only things that takes me aback currently is the logic puzzle that was showed during the gameplay. Always brings a good social detective game in the negative for me.
