Can’t wait for them to fuck it up like (pretty much) every horror game that follows this formula. It better be different this time around because Halloween is by far my favourite film franchise of all time. They better not mess it up

I mean I liked Absolution. It wasn’t a good hitman game but i won’t deny that shooting nuns in the face isn’t funny.
I love Halloween, but this game is fucked. I just want it to be good because the idea of those types of games are really nice, copium at it’s finest lol

I mean I contend Absolution is just an OK game, it is better than that Dick Marchinko game Rogue Trooper but not as good as Gears of War or Splinter Cell or whatever

I’d make a joke saying they wanted a excuse to pull him out of dead by daylight but they just announced he was getting a rework a few days ago so yeah that’s not happening for a while
I’ve been playing this game here and there in Early Access (I grew up on the original Prince of Persia games), and it’s really good. I haven’t gotten very far, but the environments, music, and flow of exploration & combat all hit really well.

Not much info, reading an article it talks about how the game will be have a story, and essentially have a lot of possible “what if?” scenarios, as you decides how to do things, which may be different from how they happened in the TV show. Also talks about a survival aspect, maintaining and repairing the ship, and being able to send down away teams to planets. Sounds pretty ambitious actually.
It’s been ages since I’ve watched Voyager, but if they did embrace the “what if?” premise, some pretty interesting stuff could happen. Stuff that comes to mind:
The demon planet that creates a duplicate Voyager, Kes becoming super powerful, the time agency. How about actually experiencing the Year of Hell?

Sonic Racing Crossworlds comes out next month. I’m hoping it’ll be good. There is an open test running from Friday 29th for the weekend. I’ll definetly be taking part. The last closed test in June showed a fun game, but had some utterly terrible item balance. Hopefully that has been addressed.
Saying that though, I’m not buying the game at launch. Sega wants $70 for the base version, which is just absurd, especially since the game has no story mode. The online looks promising, the roster looks good, especially with some free characters to come post-launch. There is also the “rivals” system, where if you do play offline, you can be matched up against a random character, and they serve as your rival through a whole cup. The great thing about this is that you get interactions between your chosen racer and the rival, which leads to some pretty cool character interactions that otherwise wouldn’t happen. The downside is that they’ve already said that this rival system will only apply to Sonic characters. Non-Sonic characters don’t have this because they’d have to get approval from the likes of Nickelodeon, Microsoft, Bandai Namco etc for their respective character dialogue. Which to be honest, when a lot of these characters are being sold as paid DLC, I think isn’t any real excuse honestly.
The marketing has also been good, with Sonic’s Youtube channel doing these “Crosstalk” videos, talking about the racers, as well as the upcoming animation to tie-in with the release. So yeah, hope the game is good, but I can’t justify $70 on it. May get it on sale maybe in the New Year sales or something.
