What are you eating or cooking?

It’s such a boring dish and I just don’t like red sauce/marinara and I’ll die on this hill with that opinion. I love Chicken Alfredo with Penne or Penne Alla Vodka. Just Spaghetti with Red Sauce/Marinara Spaghetti with Meat Balls I just simply don’t like it.

I have and I should know better as my other half makes it regular (that it contains egg)

But just thought of a fried egg with pasta put me off :joy: strange.

Grilled (Mac) cheese and tomato soup. We also had the best spinach artichoke dip I have ever had as an appetiser. The dip was great but what made it the best was the rye bagel chips that it came to with. They weren’t so much rye bagel chips as they were little rye toast points.

Finally got my macarons to turn out! No hollow shells, they actually have feet, etc

I then made some jams; lemon, pomegranate, and I used a fig butter I already had for these:

Sure it’s not perfect but I FINALLY got it

What I’m eating: Cookies. And do you know how I eat my cookies? Dipped in milk.

Yeah, I don’t know why, but for a while now I’ve always loooved to get myself a glass of milk with some cookies, and eat the cookies dip by dip. It’s so nice when you get that perfect cookie, absorbs the right amount of milk, and it can practically melt in your mouth.

Now, dipping cookies does kinda ruin your milk, in that you’ll most likely have a bunch of crumbs floating in it – but for eating a cookie, it’s worth it. :yum:

I’m eating a Kitkat Easter bunny and having regrets. It’s just the hint of kitkat flavour over a lot of wax. Still gonna finish it though.

Squid with vegetables and spring rolls for dinner last night. Usually I eat this with cantonese rice but since it was a super lazy day (I haven’t done anything except playing Valheim all day :upside_down_face:) I replaced rice with konjac noodles.

And a yogurt bowl to start my day motivated this morning :stuck_out_tongue:

We picked up this seasoning when we were in Austin Texas a while ago. It’s as if they wanted the perfect mixture of salt, spice, and garlic, but there was too much spice, so they added more salt and garlic. Then there was too much garlic so they added more salt and spice. Too much salt… you get the idea. It’s like all 3 flavours are just a bit overkill and it actually works perfectly. We rubbed it on same day dry; super heavy handed with it. Best steak I have had in a long while.

My cheese can walk :joy:

Yesterday went to McDonald’s and KFC (they are situated right across the road from each other) to taste their new things.
mk
(McChicken Premier, McChicken Bacon, McChicken Spicy, Lion ice cream (KFC))

Those three bugers are pretty much the same, just Spicy was little different taste-wise.
Ice cream was really good, though I had a feeling it’s not enough despite I got 2

It’s actually sounds good. In Hungary we have a sparse offer in McDonald’s and fast food restaurants.

Well, I wouldn’t say we have a rich or huge offer in there too, but sometimes they offer a seasonal/temporary stuff.
I assume McDonald’s introduced chicken burgers to compete with freshly opened KFC (they’ve opened only in June) and McDonald’s never had chicken burgers before, well no chicken at all except for my beloved McNuggets. Now they offer couple of chicken rolls too
