What are you eating or cooking?

That looked like octopus for a second there  I’ve never heard of corn ribs before and initially thought it might be a healthy vegetarian meal, until I saw the deep pan of oil haha. Was it crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside?

It was! That seasoning is the star though, went to Fallow for my birthday this year and the corn ribs and the French fries were coated in it, and it’s absolutely delicious. Can’t match their triple-cooked chips, but the corn ribs were one I could do at home so had to have a go myself!

Ah, I thought it was you in the video! So do you have this as a main meal or is it a side that goes with something else?

Que! I don’t envy their bills

Just a side today… but I could eat multiple bowlfuls! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

If I told you the best Thai food I have ever had in my life was in Fairbanks, Alaska would you believe me?

I gotta know… How spicy did you have them make it?

Alaska has such a mixture of cuisines, like a Thai place next to Lebanese, next to a small airfield in the middle of a city. Have you seen any moose? The juveniles sometimes venture into the cities this time of year

Not on this trip, but I have before when I’m up there.

@Tetrafish_21
The menu only says “Mild, Medium, or Spicy” so I asked how many spicy levels exist and the woman (who was clearly the mother or these days probably grand mother of the family who owned the joint) said they only have spicy 1, 2, or 3. On that scale I’m a spicy 1.

Please tell me she was using this scale to rate the customers :joy:

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t have inanely high tolerance, but I do want it to be enough that my face gets a bit flush.

I’ve been to a couple that have the star/spicy rating… 1 through 5. I casually order 5, and I love the waiter’s/waitress’s reaction when they ask, “Oh! Are you sure?” :joy:

Had this in Brighton on Thursday

And this in Manchester yesterday.

Both are strawberry shake and Gryffindor and Hufflepuff doughnuts.
I’m not a big fan of chocolate fillings, so I just stuck to strawberry shake which is really good.
Recommend to those who are for shakes.
G doughnut is made with biscoff creme (just because I love Harry you know), and H doughnut is with caramel creme. Both good as well, but I think I liked H more.
They also have other two related Houses doughnuts among a few others which seems not related to HP universe. If I’ll be in time, I guess will try the rest two some time

We have had a bit of a German week. Monday was Cürry Würst with fries and mayo.

Today was Bratwurst, sauerkraut, Pan fried potatoes and mustard.

So much happiness in one little package  what kind of steak was it? Did they grill it on-site?

I have no idea what cut of the cow it is. Yes, they cook all their stuff themselves. It’s been my go-to Mexican delivery spot since I moved in back in 2010. Pretty much everything on their menu is delicious.
