Batman: Arkham Origins.
I got it for christmas 2018 and finally decided to finish it.
Does anyone play Ghostrunner?
What an absolutely exhausting experience.
Even MGS V TPP tugged on my heartstrings. Hideos’ cutscenes are works of art.
yes. haven’t finished it but i know what you mean.
Me either. The demo was enough for me… for now lol.
That type of speedrunning/concentration is best kept for DOOM IMHO. Totally different games but the same type of speed and movement manipulation.
It’s a hidden gem though, I don’t hear about it at all.
I mainly play online shooters: Escape from Tarkov (love ‘‘gunporn’’ games), Rainbow Six Siege (dropped it for now, but I was plat 2 a few seasons ago), CoD and its Warzone (from time to time). Also like MOBA (League of Legends, was plat, now gold 'cause I tired of ladder climbing, too old and uninterested in it now).
But I think it’s much more interesting to tell a little about games with a storyline. Like many of you, I am currently playing Cyberpunk 2077. Even though the aesthetic of the future isn’t quite for me, I can finally just PLAY the game. Let me explain what I mean.
Since I am engaged in virtual photography, I, of course, first of all look not only at the plot, but at the visual part. If the game doesn’t interest me as a “photographer”, I’m unlikely to play it for the story or smth (there are online shooters for this). But Cyberpunk interested me for the first time in a long time precisely as a game. I was wondering what caused such a hype. And you know, despite a bunch of bugs and errors, I liked the game. For the first time in a long time I can just ride the ‘‘question marks’’ and relax. Dunno. It’s like MGS V for me (played almost 700 hours here), where I can just go somewhere to do the same thing again and again and it I don’t get bored.
Wanna play Watch Dogs Legion after Cyberpunk, tho.
i quite like it, myself, just not had the time to sit and give it my full attention yet. cyberpunk, parkour, hotline miami-style gameplay and ninjas hits a number of soft spots for me.
unfortunately it runs a touch poorly on ye olde ps4.
the one thing i think cyberpunk 2077 is exceptional at is its geography. i’ve never played a game with such an incredible sense of scale combined with intricate nooks and crannies. i could spend hours walking around that world just gawping away at the architecture and city design.
wasn’t enamoured with the rest, though i’d like to give it another crack someday given the whole cyberpunk thing is very much my bag.
Trying to get into Monstrum but I’m a chicken and I Alt+F4 way to often.
Ive got a whole lot of really good games on my shelf, and don’t really know where to start , I’ll put it to a poll to see what I should play first
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Death Stranding
- Ghost Recon Breakpoint
- Control

my god. disco elysium is so damn funny. had to turn the vo to minimum/classic though. love the main vo’s timbre, but he doesn’t land some of the lines as well as they land in my head.

Yeah, I’m a bit disappointed that the devs used only one voice actor for the narrator and almost all skills. I’ve also heard they changed the voice actors for a few characters such as Cuno which is a darn shame.
Still, it’s nice to actually hear all the characters speak
Well, I know for a fact that Death Stranding is a pretty long game.
It’s fun (if you’re into having a somewhat relaxing time – it’s a game about finding the perfect route from Point A to Point B and trying not to fall flat on your face (or attacked by ghosts). (It’s also very cutscene-heavy for the first 3-or-so chapters)
I’d go for Control or Ghost of Tsushima.
i’m okay with that - they’re in his head, after all - it’s just his delivery on a lot of stuff doesn’t quite hit as well as it does in my head. like, the whole mirror exchange is far more laid back than i originally imagined it.
again, i love the timbre. he’s got a beautiful voice.
I think it’s a similar case to how things are in Fallout 4 with voiced MC. It will never match what the players think how the voices should sound like
You’ll love Measurehead then
Haven’t seen Just Dance mentioned here at all. Gonna get weird looks but it’s probably one of the best games ever. Been playing it for an hour each day. It gives you a rush of adrenaline when you get stuff right(like any good rhythm game should), and it’s perfect to do when you’re stuck at home 24/7. Ubisoft keeps adding new songs every few months to play when you have the subscription which makes it even better. 12 years ago, it even gave me the idea for my username
I’ve played this before, trust me that game needs all of your brainpower if you want to understand it.
Last time I played I won by accident, after checkmating my friend in the past, present, and future as well as through several different universes
Looks confusing as hell but I’d like to watch a few games and see how it works.
I just started to play Control for the first time, what a weird game, but its fun so far.
Control:
I recommend this one first. If on Xbox/PC I recommend playing Alan Wake first, but that’s because you can appreciate the world building and lore you find as you progress through Control. This is probably one of the more enjoyable experiences on your list of games.
Ghost Of Tsushima:
The game is detailed and beautiful, sword play is fun, a good “culture fix” one of the few games I recommend playing without English.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint:
I personally wasn’t a fan of this one, but it’s largely due to Ubisoft having been releasing the same games without really doing much new with it. It will be a investment since the games are large with what I consider mundane side objectives to pad out the playtime.
Death Stranding:
Visually impressive, with a in my opinion compelling enough story with characters I enjoyed watching. I don’t recommend it for everyone but that’s because this game isn’t for everyone. People complained about how Red Dead Redemption ll felt alone and empty in its large world I disagree. Death Stranding you are alone in a empty world where you feel like the last man alive.
I have more to say about this game then the rest, but it’s cause I feel it’s the more controversial one in terms of its quality. The game when I played it was mentally taxing, but that was primarily due to its massive world and traversing it. The long distance deliveries are immensely rewarding and it’s best to be online because other people will help you traverse this world.
At the end of the day this is a Kojima Game and I’ll simply say that the worst thing about it is a piece of dialogue that Sam says. I won’t say when, but you will know it when you hear it
