I wished Bathhouse got more love, I don’t think it’s bad just because it’s challenging. In fact, it’s my second favorite in the game. I found a viable tactic for every section which worked every time so it doesn’t have RNG based bs like Seuol.

Alien Isolation Pt 4/5. When escaping the androids, if those fuckers crawled into a vent or something I would have had a panic attack. WTAF they’re not even frightening. It’s this atmosphere.
Luckily they seem pretty slow and stupid.
When the “dead” one grabbed my leg I almost shit myself.
Yeah time for a break. I have this weird fear of enemies or anyone slowly approaching me and the goddamn androids do exactly that.
Its a great game and i also think the Androids are scary as fuck. Theres something about unresponsive Humanoid Enemies that scares me somehow.
I still think the normal Resident Evil Zombies are the scariest shit ever.
Agreed on RE.
But goddamn it’s just the calmness of the androids and the way they just pace toward you. I peeked out and saw one and I’m like hm he doesn’t see me. Good.
Then the music changed and I’m like sheeeeet. Only to run into a dead end. The way they subdue you is also unsettling LOL. Great game, it takes a lot to keep me on edge. A LOT. Bravo Sega.
i love their design. they fit the world brilliantly while also looking like a costume that could’ve been made in ‘79. marvellous.
Better than RE7? I didn’t really like most of RE7 and I wish I could explain why. The mechanics were just wonky and that’s not just RE7, most of RE controls drive me crazy.
The bullet sponge enemies were another disappointment.
Cinematics were godly in RE7, I’ll say that much.
You mean “Bravo Creative Assembly”
On PS2 there was an exclusive bonus mission, Nuclear Power Plant, that was my favourite, not played that one in years. They need to hurry up and make a new game, i’d love for them to remaster the old games with new graphics but keep the gameplay the same, the Splinter Cell games have aged really well gameplay wise especially Chaos Theory
Honestly I think the Androids were scarier than the Alien at times.
This might have to do with the fact that there’s a long section in the game where the Alien doesn’t appear at all, so they take over as main antagonist, but…
They’re slightly humanoid. They can actually communicate. There are various points in the game where some Androids are actually passive, so it makes encountering any of them a tense stare-down of “are you here to kill me or help me?”
Also their walking speed is faster than yours, yet slower than your run. (But running makes noise, meaning Alien, meaning death.)
And those eyes. Those terrifying lazer eyes!!
Also their lines… Please do not resist
YOU’RE BEING HYSTERICAL
As they throw you against a wall and choke you to death.
I’ve played the hell out of Resident Evil Village this weekend.

I think Village is arguably better if not up to par with Resident Evil 4. I highly recommend it. The question is do I stream myself speed-running it again?
I hate 4, was the beginning of the dark age.
While I like the Raccoon City games a lot, RE4 has a undeniable B-movie charm to it. I enjoy it, but I don’t like replaying it. Village on the other hand…
Code Veronica needs a remake though.
One without Steve Burnside i hope. 7 and 8 are okay (haven’t finished 8 yet, I’m at the Factory) but i think they have so little to do with the original RE they should’ve just rename them, let Resident Evil rest for a few years and then give us a new, back to the Roots RE.
To be fair RE8 has been in development for a few years now. It just so happens that numerous Resident Evil projects were in the works for simultaneous releases with the only exception being RE3 Remake being rushed into development after the success of RE2 Remake.
I agree though Resident Evil needs a break RE8 is a good high note to leave the series for a little bit. Just throw on some DLC down the road for RE8 and call it a day, but no new game.
This RE8 feels like a weird Castlevania adaptation, dont you think? Castles, Lycans, Vampire, the Puppet Master, weird gear operated giant machines…
RE8 focuses more on the Gothic horror the series is known for. I wouldn’t say Castlevania since those monsters aren’t created through parasites/mold. Heisenbergs Factory is a big 180 in terms of aesthetic though in village. Not that it’s bad. I think every section of the game has variety to it and that’s what personally makes it good for me.
Yeah i like it too, but i feel its a tad too much action for my liking, the best part for me so far was the Baby in Donna’s house, it devoured me and giggled, that made me laugh out loud. Creepy little shit
You can blame that on Capcom cause they thought RE7 was too scary. And yes I call it the PT Segment.
