For playing A(E)TS, and other driving games, because with a keyboard I have a fingers ache after week of playing. Not good
That looks really cool. I want to get a decent steering wheel and a flight stick peripherals at some point, because I do play a number of driving games and I want to get into alot of flight games and maybe give Elite Dangerous a bigger go, a game which I feel almost requires a flight stick.
Some look insane, like the official one unveiled to offically tie in with Gran Turismo 7 which is priced at $700.
Anyway, I haven’t bought this quite yet, but I plan to when it officially comes out on January 1st:
I love Ennio Morricone and have already a huge collection at home. And of course I like western movies. Got myself this great box of records:
Noice.
2 trillion characters
so many of my favourite soundtracks. excellent taste!
After a week of the Axe being stuck in customs in the US, with very few updates from DHL, everything is finally running smoothly again.
In the last 24 hours, this axe has been moving, it landed in Heathrow earlier today and is sitting in the East Midlands hub as I type this, if all goes well, it should arrive tommorow or the day after
I’ve wanted this beauty for a while.
After doing some research, I was gutted to learn that the original model was discontinued in 2016.
Luckily, I kept an eye out and found that a few months back it was re-released in a special limited edition run. Then waited for the New Year sales.
Although not strictly a high end timepiece, it does have a bit of a cult following in the watch community, in part that for the price point, the hand crafted movement and quality materials hold up against far more luxurious counterparts in the 2-3k range.
And also due to being worn by Ron Swanson in Parks & Rec!
*And as worn by the great man himself…
Citizen makes some great watches! As you said, they aren’t as stuffy as the older watch makers that now only make automatic movements as status symbols, but the Citizen eco drives can do all the things the old mechanical watches can do and more. It’s a beautiful piece. Great purchase!! I hope you enjoy it.
does anyone actually know a guy who wears an automatic dive watch that actually uses the bezel for diving? Dive computers have pretty much made the watch obsolete in terms of actual intended use. The only time I use my dive bezel when my wife says stepping into a store will “only be 10 minutes.” Bezel spins so that at least I get some enjoyment too. Usually at the 15 min mark I start smiling.
Thanks man, yeah I have a few Eco-Drives and I love them. Never gonna be considered high end luxury, but they’re just so reliable and low maintenance. Literally just pop them on a window sill for an hour every few months and they last for years if not decades. Same goes for Casio G-Shock solars as well.
And of course, I can’t imagine anyone who uses a tachymeter or even the chronograph function in this day and age, but they still look cool lol.
I love watches, it’s a beautiful watch. I plan to buy myself a Omega Seamaster watch at some point. Just not sure which version yet, expect I won’t be the version Daniel Craig wore in Casion Royal. My older brother have that one.
Find uses for them! The more often you “use” your watch the more you’ll like it. Admitting that a tachymeter is more or less useless outside of its intended use, the chronograph can be used to time anything. Commute to work, how long it takes your boss to get back to you when you send a question that needs an answer but you know they will struggle with the choice
@Norseman there’s so many option for the seamasters. The amount of choices can be daunting. Good luck with your search.
Beautiful watch! I used to sell watches (also Citizen) a about 20 years back. Never could afford one back then with my wage…
Good to know William Tockman decided to have other hobbys than crime
Tockman spends his off hours arguing if the Rolex Submariner is better than the Omega Speedmaster before committing crimes.
Oh wow, it’s very pretty
I don’t know who Tockman is, but I will argue all day long that the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is better than the Rolex Submariner and Rolex Sea-Dweller.
The Rolex will hold its value better, especially if you can find a steel model (good luck), but I prefer the Seamaster PO all day long.
Clock Master he is a Green Arrow villain that became a Batman villain for a brief time after he appeared in a few animated Batman shows.
I have nothing to offer this conversation about watches. I have only ever had one and it was a cheap one my parent’s got me for my birthday once. Stopped working and I don’t even know if we have it anymore.
Well bad guy or not, he has good taste in watches
