I turned off the option to retrieve data from the internet and forgot about it. I feel so dumb now.

Making final preparations for my California trip at the end of next month for the Halloween: 45 Years of Terror convention at the Pasadena Expo Center. This trip will also count as my vacation since I haven’t been on vacation since 2021 where I also went to California.
- Round Trip Plane Ticket Secured
- Disney Land Ticket Secured
- H45 Tickets Secured.
- Housing and Transportation Secured
The last thing I have to purchase is the Halloween Horror Nights tickets, but that’s simply just cause my friend and I need to sit down and figure out if we wanna do the Nintendo Land stuff too when we go to Universal.
It’s gonna be a very exciting time, I’m definitely looking forward to what’s to come especially since I need the escape from life for a week.

A gym membership, god help me. A co-worker has convinced me to join him in both getting off-peak memberships at a 24 hour gym. We go to a club together on wednesday evenings, so thinking after the club has ended we’d go to the gym together. Something I need to do to be honest, I’ve been overweight my whole life, and now that I’ve hit 30 this year I know my metabolism is just going to slowly get worse over time.
Definetly not going to try and lose weight immedietly, just trying to get into the habit of going on a regular basis.

Good for you mano! It’s 90% what you put in your body and only 10% working out or not. That said, I have always found I eat way less when I’m working out bc when I want those Godiva chocolates or that scoop of ice cream my brain says “why would you just undo those 45 min you worked so hard for in the gym?”

The first one says “相模国七里ヶ浜” Sagaminokuni Shichirigahama. It’s a beach near Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The second one notes “葛飾北斎の波” Katsushika Hokusai no Nami. It means “Wave of Katsushika Hokusai.” Hokusai was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, and his best known work is The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

I am now the proud owner of a Playstation 5! I got it for $50 off and a Starlight Blue DualSense controller for $25 off cause there was a special sale going on. On opening the console, the most surprising thing to me was its size. I expected something similar to the PS4’s size, but it’s quite a bit bulkier and heavier. After seeing how much two hunks of colored plastic cost, I’m happy with the white color of the console.
Oh my God the faster load times are insane! On my PS4 loading in and out of a Freelancer mission usually took 45+ seconds (and it sounded like a jet engine when running it). On the PS5 it’s under 15 seconds. Even the other stuff which already loaded in quick on PS4 loads in even faster! I was so excited to test out the new load times I even did something I haven’t done since January 25: Played a featured contract! The only negative from the change is now I’m a victim of the saving icon not disappearing automatically.
Now not only can I maintain my huge backlog of PS4 games I still haven’t got around to playing, I can start building up a backlog of PS5 games as well!

I bought my brother Hi-Fi Rush on Steam for his birthday two days ago and he still hasn’t opened the email and received it!
Other than that — and hear me out — I bought some random basics off Amazon: a soap dish, TUMS, probiotics for my dog, and a pair of wooden shoe trees (learning what they are called in the process). Four little items which were all selected to arrive on the same day, and which then all arrived on the same day in four separate packages. Uargh.
