as an update on my previous situation: roommate is fine. my sister in the hospital is getting better each day and should come home in 2 weeks. even had a very long video call with her this evening. it was great
i’ve tested negativefor covid twice, but that was days ago. i had no symptoms initially, but for about the past 3 days there’s been nausea, fatigue and headaches. these aren’t the “classic” symptoms so idk…if i’m not posting here as much that would be why, unfortunately. this pandemic craziness needs to end man.

That Samsung phone I got last week. They sent me a sim card that corresponded with the phone number I chose. I noticed the similarity when I was on the phone with Verizon tech support. Didn’t know that for days after I had the original sim card in my phone and it was all set up and going just fine. So I have to admit… I didn’t power off my phone when I put the new sim card in… and at some point, the phone was restarted, (whatever else happened), and now it doesn’t get any signal whatsoever with either sim card. After taking it to a local Verizon place in my town (1 hour of messing with it), calling the aforementioned Verizon tech support and trying a bunch of different things for 2 hours, and even taking it to a Samsung repair place in another town (maybe around 30 minutes), and it’s still a $150 paperweight. Well, I can connect to my WiFi at my house, but it still can’t call or send texts. Something about my phone not being registered. So taking it anywhere is kinda pointless.
Alright. With all ^that backstory set - here’s a thing that happened. I’m on my wifi, logging in perpetually to my Samsung account (numerous instances of having to reenter my password), and I get to a screen that says “We’ll need to send a verification code to your device.” I then hear the phone notification sound. But I don’t see where or what it was sent to to see what it was. So the webpage times out and I can’t put in the code. Looking through the settings I see a little orange (N) on something, and there’s the message. Asking me if I was trying to do bla-bla, and here’s the code. I click on ‘Yes, I was trying to do bla-bla’.
Now I can’t see any way possible to resend any code to “my device”. It only allows for sending a text to the phone number - which can’t be done because the phone “isn’t registered”. So no matter how many times I do that it’s never going to go through!
It’s enough to make one want to pull their hair out.

Christmas has came to my household. We open gifts on Christmas Eve. It’s partially cause I’m a fairly busy person who moves around a lot between work, college, and just the balance that is my personal life.
But with the constant working comes more disposable income for the consumerism event of the year. Since people are sharing now I might as well do the same at-least for what I got the family.

At my dad’s for Christmas and I saw some old gameboy game boxes (and sometimes games included) in the garage.
He and my brother are happy for me to take this home. So merry Christmas to me. They’re all in a garbage bag now and still need to be dusted. Will do it when I go home.

Actually, depending on vaccination status, the current top three symptoms, in order, are fatigue, headache, and arthralgia (joint pain). The “classic symptoms” list needs to be updated, certainly in the UK. I hope you and your sister recover soon.
