What's New....?

If you looked at my food history you’d think over 75% of the time people eat pizza they want it to be super thick with the sauce on top of the cheese, but really that’s just bc of where I live. The entire rest of the world puts the cheese on top of a much thinner pie nearly 100% of the time and sometimes they don’t even think the sauce on top stuff even qualifies as pizza.

Edit: all this donut and pizza talk is making me hungry now.

I’m sorry, who are the heathens that put cheese on TOP of a pizza? It should be baked inside with the rest of the ingredients!

Did you just abbreviate Dunkin’ Donuts as “DnD”? I was watching a program on TV the other day that finally made me realize that the reason it’s called “Dunkin’” is because people used to dunk their donuts in their coffee. I can’t even imagine doing that and I love both things!

Ha! I don’t get the popularity of Gordon Ramsey’s shows. Why would I want to watch someone yelling at someone else? Show me the cooking part, not the drama.

I don’t get it either, but it has great meme potential.

Oh man! It’s the best! You gotta get the old fashioned ones without any glaze though. I mean the new fluffy ones are fine to dunk too but the denser non glazed ones are best for coffee dunking.

Believe it or not but Yacob lives in a city where around 2.7 million people also believe this is how pizza should be made. It shouldn’t be though because at that point you are making a casserole.

Doesn’t the donut get soggy? I don’t like that. I also would imagine that it ruins the taste of the coffee too. I don’t like sugar and stuff in my drinks.

Haha yes they get a little soggy! You don’t leave them there though. It’s like cookies in milk. You dunk only the part you intent to eat into the liquid and then immediately eat that part. Gotta try it!!!

Ok, here we go, lots of fun things happening in late April that I’m jazzed about. Pretty cool it’s all happening so soon.

  • A new season of Pacific Rim: The Black (Netflix anime-inspired series) comes on April 19th.
  • Russian Doll Season 2 on April 20th.
  • I finally finish my 4 years at my college & the Theatre Program around then.
  • Barry Season 3 starts April 24th. (I’ve really gotta find a recap for that!)
  • and the Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe finally releases on the 27th
  • (also a week or so later, the new Doctor Strange movie comes out!)

I live for my interests now.

Has anyone else been watching the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial at all?

Not really. Personally, I think it should’ve been an open and shut case but now it’s taking too damn long.

I couldn’t fucking care less about either of those washed-up celebrities. If I was the judge I would throw them both in the cushy rich people jail and give their wealth to a bunch of independent artistic productions.

It’s being aired on tv? Isn’t it a civil lawsuit about what one said about the other? Holy cow. Reality tv to the max :joy:

It’s on a few different YouTube channels. The basic facts as I understand them are that the two of them were married, and there was some allegations of abuse (by him on her). He contested it but she basically “won” the divorce proceedings and wrote an article about her experience “surviving an abusive relationship”.

Depp maintained that she was actually the abusive one and that the article basically ruined his movie career. He was taken off of Fantastic Beasts 3, a purported Pirates movie is going forward without him, etc. This trial is a defamation trial where Heard is the defendant. It’s interesting from a legal standpoint, even if the focus of the trial is on two Hollywood celebrities.

As a lover of deep dish pizza, I also love that rant! I will also say that I have never, will never, and cannot imagine having to fold a piece of pizza to eat it.

In all fairness, just to spite Chicago, in case anyone thinks my taste is completely regional, a hotdog is the ONLY food I eat with ketchup.
