Home internet is down and checking my ISP’s website on my phone, it’s a known issue and ETA for a fix is in approx 18 hours.

Thank Jeebus I have the latest Peacock server downloaded, but this has been a sharp reminder that the torches and pitchforks should come out if IOI don’t patch H3 to be fully featured in Offline mode in the future.

DONE! All 3 sniper maps at 20 mastery, the final sniper rifle unlocked! After 3 years of putting it off, I’ve finally gotten through it. Now all that’s left is escalations, whatever map challenges I haven’t yet attended to, and any new challenges to unlock IOI puts out, such as when they release new ETAs and such. But now I can break from Hitman until Freelancer comes, I think.

First day of work wet well, I spent all day getting tech issues resolved and took a single phone call when they finally resolved them.

This plane is so old!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
In the background you can see the retro under footrest luggage space. This is almost as cool as the backwards facing seats. …also I’m drinking a lot bc we are over an hour delayed but they still boarded on time.

Today got myself into some technics shop and was surprised with the prices for stuff being sold there.
Most likely things are preused, but may be new as well, look like as new. I didn’t ask, was just wandering with no exact purpose.
For example Xbox One is sold for about Ā£150, PS5 - Ā£555, GeForce 3090 Editors Edition (or something like that, don’t remember exactly) is about Ā£800. Various VR sets from 40 to 85 pounds.
I consider the prices more or less adequate.
Oh, well, to be honest I consider UK prices more or less adequate in comparison to ukrainian ones

Lol you just reminded me of this. I just paid a visit to KFC to visit family - I haven’t been there in years and at the time believed they served Pepsi, 7Up, etc. Imminently finishing my order at the counter, I walked up to the soda dispensers before finding that they serve Coca-Cola along with Sprite.

And TIL my country has been doing it since 2016.

Not sure if this is also happening in other countries, but they have for here.

Hopefully I don’t sound dumb but what am I watching? Maybe watching on my phone’s small screen doesn’t help but I want to share in your speechlessness… :sob:

So, some bad news that quite possibly may move into truly horrible news. As mentioned a few days ago, I took my dog Peach to get her first annual since we adopted her. The vet felt a mass in her abdomen. Blood work was done and there’s no indication of anything bad, but that’s also what was said about Peggy last year. Today, she went back for a second opinion from the other vet, after having to starve the poor baby by having her fast for 24 hours to make sure it was nothing in her intestines, and they still felt it. She most likely has an enlarged spleen. That’s the bad news. If whatever is making it enlarged has not moved beyond the confines of her spleen, she will need surgery to remove the spleen. The possibly horrible news is that if it has, if it has spread to her lymph nodes, there’s nothing that can be done, and she’ll have to be put down.

It’s only been 2 days since the 1 year anniversary of having to put Peggy down for an incurable condition, and now I’m being hit with this. With the luck my wife and I have, it will be too late already by the time Peach can be seen. We just started to love her like a baby, the same as we had with Peggy, and she had just started to truly love us and enjoy her new doggy life. The one silver lining right now is that she does not appear to be suffering any symptoms, or feeling any pain or discomfort from anything, so whether there is hope or not, she can remain happy through it, and maybe that’s a sign that whatever the problem is is benign and treatable.

I can’t handle this. I don’t know what to do.

We had a wonderful little Boston Terrier named Misty about 20 years ago (wow…20 years). Those little dogs are very prone to sinus issues because of their noses. Best we can figure she inhaled a thistle or something off a bush outside of our then-apartment. She started having trouble one day and we took her to the vet. They couldn’t find anything so we brought her back home.

Another vet couldn’t find anything either so eventually we went to my wife’s dad’s family vet (about an hour and a half drive away) and they found a lump in one of her lungs. The vet tried to remove it but due to the size of that breed, they could only put her under for a couple hours safely. After three surgeries they still couldn’t get to the root of the infection but they were able to put a tube in her side to let it drain. Through all that, she barely ever acted sick other than the initial signs of something being wrong (tenderness in her side and a doggie cough). That little dog lasted two full years with a tube sticking out of her side before she really started to realize that she had a problem.

We ended up spending thousands of dollars and driving hundreds of miles back and forth for various surgeries and consultations and when we did finally make the decision to put her down, it was done at that country vet’s office by ā€œDoctor Danā€. We never regretted spending the money and it still makes us cry to talk about that girl, 20 years later.

Yup, that’s what we would have been willing to do for Peggy had their been hope. Peach’s situation is a little more cut and dry; it’s an is it or is it not situation. But if it turns out there’a more to it than that after all, there’s a lot I’m willing to do to let this little bulldog continue to have a real dog’s life.

That’s terrible news. I wish Peach the best. Fingers crossed.

Our dog Ponyo may have something similar recently, I don’t know all the details but she had to get an ultrasound done on her organs they noticed some unknown growth near her liver, not sure what it might be.
Had to fast for some bloodwork too for about 12 hours.
And they noticed something wrong with her liver, I think we’re still waiting on test results about it.

Hopefully its nothing bad, or some benign thing.

All my best wishes for the best outcome for you.

This is a video from the anti-hijab and anti-governmental social protests in Iran (I happen to know the exact location as well) where women are seen burning their scarfs (among pictures of specific people :stuck_out_tongue:) in the main square of the city.

Also sorry, this is quite a bad angle but better videos were only on Twitter and forum is not the best place for twitter embeds.
