This would explain why his handle changed on Twitter… He will be missed. He and Travis were such an iconic duo.
Still, I wish him luck on his future endeavors sans IOI!
Welp, my dad, our designated 10-hour endurance driver, came down with two kidney stones and induced nausea last night, so is now in the hospital for a bit while they get that out of him.
So, we’re in quebec for one more day than expected… hopefully, if he’s better tomorrow.
We’ve gone shopping for food and stuff today, and I think I’ve spoken more french today than I have the entire past year already. I’m rusty but its good to use!
I stopped listening to/watching this guy because he spoke with way too much uptalk. In the first few minutes of this video, it seems that he’s made efforts — conscious or not — to rein that in.
It’s one of the first video reviews that showed up for me, so I went with his review. Did watch a few more and most agree that Starfield has the best writing in any modern Beth game, the exploration being a bit lackluster since it involves going through many menus and also it’s Beth’s less buggy game. The 7s and 8s are good for a new IP.
Read the domestic review an hour ago and the feelings were pretty much the same: on the one hand great visuals and visual design plus atmosphere, probably the best writing in a Bethesda game with some really good quests, little to no bugs, and fun customization mechanics; on the other lackluster exploration with repetitive procedural planet generation (surprise surprise) and associated tedious/clumsy menu navigation, loading screens between exteriors and interiors, bad gunplay and starship battles, upscaling turning enemies into massive bulletsponges, and also some controls (particularly spaceship) clearly designed for gamepads and thus clunky on m+kb. Essentially a fun and beautiful-looking game hampered by some ancient Bethesda design choices. Got a 7/10.
Anyways, there’s a dedicated Starfield thread, so we should move any further discussion there.
Mmkay so dad’s fine, they did the surgery last night, he got discharged today and we’ll stay an extra day here, but this’ll slow our journey down east a bit. Mum can drive, but not as long as originaly planned… Will probably make one more interim stop between here and NS tomorrow.
Anxiety is high (for us all) but I’m glad everything seems to be working out ok.
He needs blood work tomorrow morning, but after that we should be off and finally making more progress on this thing…
Forgot to post it last night but we made it to Nova Scotia now. Finally, can spend some time where we actually planned to be…
Dad’s doing somewhat better. He was even fine enough to drive a bit too.
I love so many of you, omg, just lots of fuzzy feelings right now ![]()

Drunk chicken or emotional chicken, click here to find out!
(The answer doesn’t matter btw, we love you too buddy, yer such a great person)
(It don’t matter, but it was emotional chicken! I don’t enjoy alkohol
)

I had dinner with my family today. My brother made fries to eat with our dinner. mf burnt those potatoes into ash. ![]()
They were mostly black, hard, crunchy, and tasted like ash.
At least the porkchops my Mom made tasted great.
Today morning at office, I got a parking space of the number 47. We get random parking space from the entry gate at office, I thought maybe today is a lucky day.
But then I checked few mins back from another post by @The_Elite_Institute that two of my submitted contract got featured. I will leave in an hour from work and another hour to reach home and then I can confirm it.
I am happy I was able to put @MrOchoa 's name as a target in today’s featured contract - Hitman Codename 47 - please do play it, its a puzzle.
But also a bit sad, as Clemens is leaving and his last submission thread.
We finally BACK from vacation now! Big thanks to my dad for being tough and still doing a bunch of driving the past 2 days.
he’s mostly fine, it’s just… the peeing and kidneys that still need checking-up on, which can thankfully be done this week/end now we’re back in our home town…
I’m currently sitting in the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in San Diego preparing to watch my nephew graduate from Boot. Proud Uncle!
Am I gonna need to get an iPad at some point in the future?? Because oh man the team behind Procreate keeps putting out bangers and I’m sad it’s exclusive to one mobile device.
They are noted to be staunchly anti AI art. Supported this old Procreate app for many, many years and I’ve heard it’s super popular and a great tool, and now this:
A new animation app, that has an extremely accessible 20$ ONE-TIME purchase. That is unheard of in today’s art app landscape…
(Yes I know the iPad costs like 100-200$ but if you’ve already had one for a while, this is a damn easy investment)
Got my C2 degree today. I can’t feel a perfect fluency yet, but it feels good to be certified still.
Congrats bro, and best wishes. This will help in both of your academic and professional career. ![]()
