I’m surprised I haven’t seen the “I think we have to kill this guy” meme with 47 yet, but damnit I’m gonna be one of the people to do it!
edit: also wtf it was based on a meme comic about hitler, damn lol

I’ve been in hospital a week now. I’ll hopefully be getting out tomorrow. Feeling a bit better but still get tired very easily. Just feeling bored now, I’ve been stuck in the same room for the last 6 days, I just want to go home. Been told it could take several weeks to make a full recovery where I regain my full energy.
Yesterday we had a very heavy storm here and this morning I discovered that a huge branch fell off a tree right next to my car. Just a few centimetres and it would have landed right on my cars roof. That’s what I call luck
I believe it’s the same storm wreaking havoc in Denmark. Luckily we suffered minor damage.
I’ve gotten out of hospital and I’m home now. Got a course of antibiotics for the next week. Just need to take it easy.
Now this is what I call patience paying off!
(Had it on my wishlist since earlier this year, seeing the 2-year gap in sales made me worried)
A really solid game! I’ve been a big fan of Nitrome’s ever since my elementary school days sneaking and playing their flash games in the computer lab when we were supposed to be learning about using PowerPoint
My bulldog Peach Pie has been acting strangely since Thanksgiving and having some difficulty defecating, so we took her to the vet this week to get examined. Got good news, bad news, and some potentially good news to come.
The good news is that her system is healthy, including her blood and digestion; the issues her spleen had been causing for years and put her in danger of death earlier this year seem to have cleared up completely with the damned thing’s removal from her body.
The bad news, since she descends from a poorly bred line even by bulldog standards, she’s got torn ACLs and arthritis starting to kick in. Thats why she’d been acting strange; she’s been in pain. Also why she’s had difficulty defecating, she hasn’t been able to squat properly and it’s caused some fecal matter to build up inside her colon. The vet gave her an enema and cleared that up. This issue is one that every vet we’ve taken her to told us was coming and even though she’s only middle aged by bulldog standards, it’s already hitting.
The potentially good news is that there are some procedures that can be done to help her and her primary vet seems optimistic that he can help her, and we’ve not known this man to bullshit us, so that means she’s got a good chance. In a few weeks, she’s going to be given some specialized therapy, including being treated with “ozone,” that should help restore some of the tissue with her ACLs and reduce her arthritis. If that doesn’t work, there are more things, but we’re trying the easier and least expensive options first on the vet’s recommendation. If none of these options work, we will unfortunately have to put Peach down, because we will not force her to live in pain every time she moves just because we want to keep her around.
But if these procedures work and give her, hopefully, another two years even, it will be worth it. Our hope is for her to have a happy life with us for a longer time than she was with her original owner who bred puppies out of her until she had nothing left to give and discarded her. We want her to have had more time on this earth experiencing love than neglect. Here’s hoping.
My dog is currently on Gabapentin for pain (affects neurological receptors or something), and in the past has been on Carprofen (had to take off as it can mess with the kidneys) and Tylenol with Codeine (tastes like shit so he won’t take them anymore).
Just yesterday we took him in for a subcutaneous injection of Librela, which is newer to market and that vets seem excited about.
Just some options if you hadn’t already heard of them. My guy is a Cane Corso, currently 120lbs, about 12 years old, so he has arthritis and joint pain, trouble squatting to poop, etc.
Thanks, that might be handy if these first procedures don’t work, to get her through to the next ones. I’ll keep those meds in mind. Hope yours is ok.
Merry Christmas to all of you! My girlfriend had covid over the last week and is recovering, and yesterday I’ve tested positive, right before the holidays.
On the other hand: i can stay at home and play video games all day and don’t have to visit family, so yeah!
Get well, soon, and your girlfriend, too! And I hope you will still have a nice christmas time
@Heisenberg I hope your dog gets better, wishing you and your family the best.
@MrOchoa So sorry to hear, I hope you recover soon. Take it easy and hopefully you can meet up with family for a late Christmas meet up. Message any of us if you need someone to talk to man.
Y’know what’s interesting?
Dying Light 2 has mod support on consoles, where you can download and explore user-created maps from PC.
With a partnership with the website Mod.IO, you can sign up for their account, link it to Techland’s, and be able to play with user-created maps on console, right through the game’s main menu! That’s pretty damn cool. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that able to happen on consoles before… Though I have heard of Bethesda implementing popular fan-mods officially in one of their recent re-re-releases.

Merry Christmas everyone! (with credit to whoever created this - I reuploaded as an unlisted video to YouTube from Reddit a couple of years back because it’s easier to embed in forum posts)
Merry christmas to everyone who celebrates and everyone who doesn’t I hope has/had a nice and calm sunday
Christmas felt weird this year without Papa but it was still very nice and fun. I just celebrated with Mama and my brother. Nothing big or stressful. I got some nice presents; an additional hard drive, some gift cards for Steam, some lights for my gaming set up and a magic mug with a T-Rex. After being sick for such a long time I was just happy to see my family again and in two days they will both visit me in cologne and I am looking forward for it
Hope everyone has a great Christmas!
