Today, while at work, I had to call an ambulance for the first time ever. Some old dude was lying down motionless on the concrete in front of the supermarket I’m employed. He was drunk as a skunk, topless and couldn’t utter a word. Thought he might puke and choke or who knows what else since it was already dark. The lady on the phone didn’t show any interest at first since a lot of ambulance resources are wasted on drunks, which I understood but did call me back telling me that she sent an ambulance and should wait for them. The paramedics told me he was the third one today. They thought it was about a drunk that they got acquainted with since they had many troubles with. That specific drunk was exactly where the ambulance was parked 
The old dude was resisting help and one of the paramedics was about to call the police but in the end he agreed to go to the hospital. I offered to help the 3 paramedics carry him, he was one fat tub of lard.

May have done a morally dubious thing and rigged a high schools prom king and queen vote as a favor for a friend.
Rest assured they won, and now nobody’s became somebody’s and the “popular vote” didn’t win atleast for that night.
Probably best for this School to not let their voting process be accessible through a Google form.

So, going through a little bit of a scare right now. A week ago, my wife’s (now former) friend’s dog playfully nibbled on her arm. She wasn’t injured or anything, but she does have a skin condition that causes her to sometimes have small open breaks in her skin. Yesterday, the former friend’s dog was fighting with the other dog for reasons unknown and her adult daughter got bit on the arm. And she chose then to tell my wife that she had not kept up with the dog’s vaccinations, and now my wife is panicking that she may have been infected with rabies if that was the cause of the dog’s unexpected aggression. Everything is working for her right now, as the doctors did not recommended a need for the daughter to get a rabies vaccination, it’s only been a few days, and so far there’s no indication that the dog is exhibiting other symptoms, but the fact that this wasn’t communicated right away that the dog is unvaccinated has really got my wife worried. I think she’ll be fine, but rabies is so horrible that I don’t want to risk it and we’re trying to get her a vaccination now. It’s best to get it in the first three days and it’s been a week now, but since it’s too soon for symptoms, vaccination can still be effective. We’ll see what happens.

So, follow-up, practically everything and every opinion says that she’s fine, but she’s gonna report the dog to animal services to be checked, hopefully just a quarantine for observation and not straight to euthanasia, just to be sure.

This weekend someone online posted that EB Games was selling Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PS5 for just 15$! (Down from 70$…)
No idea why, perhaps online clearance of the in-store stock?
Anyway, I picked one of the very few locations near me that had “limited availability” expecting a cancelled order (it’s happened before) but… No! The order went through and I genuinely got this well-reviewed 70$ game for 15$! Nice 
Now, obviously this is also gonna go in my backlog atm 
, but hey, I doubt anyone else will be matching that deal anytime soon… (Been keeping track, and only recently, some random copies have been 45$ on amazon…)
Also I got Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Used, also with a 20% off sale they were doing, so hey, I got this recent thing for 56$! I’m currently doing Ghost, but hey, if ever I want some turn-off-brain ubisoft busywork stealth in Japan, then I have this now too!
(Only real downside is there was a pre-order/launch voucher inside… but it was already used…

I ALSO went clothes shopping today, since I realized I didn’t have as many short-sleeved black shirts that I thought I’d need for the new work dress code.
So I bought 4 new shirts at this store - 2 black, 2 coloured; And made a heck of a deal too!
One shirt style was Buy One Get One Free!
The other was 40$ standard for it, but was on sale for 20$ each! So damn, I saved half the price on this. Yeah!

Had been spending an hour trying to get a pension concession card but the site is busted or something so then I had to spend another hour on hold until I got a human operator who dispatched a replacement in fucking ten seconds.

Well I had to go to a doctor’s appointment, I had been worried that it was gonna result in me having bowel cancer because if I have even a single bodily abnormality my brain diagnoses me with the worst possible outcome but it turns out it was just internal hemorrhoids.
Nothing can piss on (the rest of) this day.
