Imagine waiting for a web page to load. First you get the general outlines and text. Not long after, the images start slowly taking form. Every time you click something the process restarts. You click alot because endless scrolling like we see on every website today hasn’t been invented yet.
Also, in my home, internet usage was on a timer. Couldn’t be blocking the phone all day.
Oh my god I totally forgot that at one point we had to use the same phone line for internet 
And then when you would call someone else’s house and you got all the strange noises you knew they were on the internet so your either have to walk/ride your bike over there to talk to them or, if Dad was home, you could ask to borrow his Motorola Star•Tac flip phone in order to call your friends Dads flip phone… but Dad would often say “no” b/c the phone was for work only*
*I know now he was just building character. Anyone I wanted to call was within a 10 min bike ride and he didn’t want me to be a lazy slug.

Dictatorships and Absolute Monarchies can work just fine if you have a wonderful leader. It’s when you don’t and you have no way to switch them out for another leader that it becomes a problem.
Even if the leader is good, there’s no freedom. The leader, regardless of how many good intentions he has, will do his actions based on his intentions, what he thinks is right.
It’s never good to be absolutist.

thank you, I had no idea. I want to take this opportunity to recommend what is, in my opinion, one of the best Alien games ever released. Aliens Dark Descent is a tactical RTS where you control a squad of marines moving through xeno-infested maps. It’s tense and well designed, if you’re an Alien fan you’ll love it.

I played a “kill everyone” contract on Landslide, and after completing it my game hasnt connected to the servers since last night. I checked on hitmanstat.us and the servers are down but i dont see anyone having the same issue as me. Anyone had this or is this scheduled server maintenance?

Palpatine was faking his weakness to motivate Anakin to act. Windu was never gonna win.
If Anakin never pivoted into thinking he could save Padme from death him and Mace easily would of beaten Palpatine
