Ohhh, the new 2025 Starbucks Dress Code. We just had our official training about it coming into effect in 3 weeks, and boooy do I have some thoughts about it…
A little later though.

I’m pretty sure the song goes 2 out of 3 ain’t bad, but who’s counting?
Is your store Unionized? The lady friend of mine is in a Unionized store and she is saying they won’t have to adhere to the dress code in its entirety.
An annual big whoopty doo is going on in town. A few (relatively?) famous people, dignitaries… Whatever. There are numerous venues around town during the few days it lasts. That’s where the famous people visit with the locals, tell stories, sign autographs… I don’t know. I have no interest in attending any of them. Sure, there’s some cool (to meet/see) people, but I feel no compulsion to bug them, only help/serve them if/when they should ask for something. On another note, the prices for our hotel rooms have been the highest I believe they’ve ever been since this place started back in the late 90s (over $200 USD! ). Anyway, besides the public venues where they visit with the plebs, here at the hotel is where they visit with each other. All in our dining/breakfast area. It’s very loud, but amazingly (and Thankfully!) there aren’t any complaints from guests that aren’t part of the group. Just one more night and things will be back to a normal, quiet/peaceful state.
Fun-fact about me typing this post. Every instance of “visit” I had the word “canoodle”. G0tDang I’m so glad I looked that up. lmao
Last weekend while taking a shortcut I rarely take. I stumbled upon this Jurassic Park Jeep.
Never expected to see anything like this in the little costal town I call home. It would even be a rare sight in our capital.
I had to slam the breaks and put the car in reverse, to take pictures. I was so excited to see the JP jeep. It’s been a childhood dream to operated that vehicle.
We have a bug report thread in the Player Support category I guess
Nevermind.
Last week I had a baby brother it’s been nice
That’s really nice! I can’t have any new brothers, and I also don’t have any advice to give you.
Election was yesterday or I guess it still is an election but I voted yesterday and I was so nervous I was live like a wire. So much so I have only had three hours sleep maybe a bit less. Luckily Labor won handily in the three hours I was asleep.
I may or may not have won some giveaways again
The F1 drivers parade in Miami was done in nearly actual size F1 cars made from LEGO. They were so slow, but you can see the drivers have that 12 year old smile on their faces.
Whaaaat?
I didn’t even use Skype anymore, but damn. We are gonna miss you, Skype.
Skype transformed into Microsoft Teams.
I myself didn’t use Skype for years, but it’s a little bit sad.
And I like the name
I truly live in the best building ever! I have no idea who this person is who turned in the Rolex nor do I know this person who’s going out of their way to say thanks for doing it, but I love that it happened this way.
Screen shot in from my buildings app in case that isn’t clear.
What country do you live?
The United States. I live downtown Chicago.
That explains it partly. Of course, thieves exist everywhere, but if you were here in bad old Brazil, probably the Rolex owner wouldn’t have been so lucky.
Nevertheless, the people at your building seem really kind. Lucky you!
