GOD &%€£!*$ DAMNIT

I woke up early for the Carly Rae Jepson presale. I was 500 in the queue and never got tickets. When I finally got in there were too few seats and as quick as I’d click on them they were gone!

Sorry and welcome to the club.
But with me it’s all about driving test dates hunting

If you canā€˜t get tickets through the website, you might want to try other means.
Call her maybe?

That’s funny.

Seriously though I have seen her before so I’m not paying scalper prices. The $55 seats are on StubHub for anywhere from $130 to 200 and the seats I originally wanted are on StubHub for $800 when face value was $220.

For the first time in quite a long time I am in a relationship. It’s early days, but it’s good.

I like going through all the menu options of a game before I get into it just because.

So I was starting Kirby Air Riders last night and was looking at the Options menu, and WOW, it has a massive swath of accessibility options!
You can customize the HUD in various ways, removing certain elements, change how saturated some white/black parts of the screen are, there’s a freaking FOV slider, and there’s also the 3 colour-blindness filter settings!

Impressive stuff for Nintendo, who often only ever give you a volume slider and that’s it!

HITMAN What are you doing?? A freaking Kirby game has colour-blind filters and you still don’t, I’m sure some people might like that!

Right? Imagine how instinct mode might be enhanced with such a feature for those who are red/green colorblind!

As for what’s new with me: Today was the last day of my job as a cafeteria worker! Next week, I begin work as a graphic designer/online marketing person at a new job. It’s crazy having joined HMF as an annoying 20 year old college kid with no direction, and several years later I am still annoying but now have a job to apply my degree to. Times change, but the stair-subduing-punch glitch never does. :blue_heart:

It’s not the kind of job where I can move out sadly, but it’s a step forward. So I’m looking forward to it

Congrats! I’m sure you won’t miss serving sloppy joes and soft serve! It was an honest living, but now you’re in your chosen field!!!

Congratulations, I’m glad you’re doing well  will you have time to continue pursuing your art and YouTube interests at the same time as working?

I remembered last week that I had an account on this forum, and reading back my old replies and posts, dear god was I a total cornball.

Thanks Yacob! Will not miss the hot dog water lol

Thanks! And…I don’t know…one can hope. Just gonna take it as it goes. Literally took over a day to not be overwhelmed and reply to this because of severe burnout. oh well.

Sounds like you’ve been needing this change for a while, and maybe a short vacation between careers! I’m looking to new horizons too and might not be in my current profession much longer if all goes well

Work in the creative space will be such a welcome change to the repetitive nature of cafeteria work, and I bet you’re looking forward to a role where you aren’t standing for prolonged periods. Don’t worry about replying if you’re burned out, just rest and look after yourself

Macadamia nuts. It’s the Hula Pie at Duke’s in Waikiki. You need a friend to finish it, having 3 friends is not a bad idea though.

At the end of October, I’m heading to Lucca (Italy) for the second-largest comic convention in the world. I’ll be there for work to write a feature story about a cosplay couple. But I should have plenty of time on the side to look around a bit and check out a few events. With my media pass, I should be able to get into everything.
But here’s the thing: What should I check out? I don’t really know much about comics, and most of the things and people there don’t mean anything to me. Any tips? What shouldn’t I miss?
