Arkham Knight was peak Gotham City.
I don’t know what dark magic they infused into the game, but somehow it’s running on an old Unreal Engine 3 (or 4?) and it still looks amazing and photo-realistic today.
The batmobile was pretty disapointing in that there were just so many tank sequences, and IMO not enough chase sequences, but in retrospect it wasn’t a terribly bad addition to the game, I just think they just focused on the wrong aspects of why people wanted a playable batmobile in the first place.
The story was pure comic-book silliness, and that’s either good or bad depending on who you ask. Personally, I like it for how crazy it is, but I also think, logically, some of the plot points are lame for how ambitious and epic the game was marketing itself as.
I’m sad the Gotham Knights spinoff/sequel thing is a game with a totally different gameplay style (and one that’s another RPG with damage numbers and stats to take care of) and the Suicide Squad game being a shooter. What we got with Knight was pretty dang good though. The DLC racetracks based on TV and Film, mini bonus story missions, 4 bonus supervillain subplots… It was really great.
I’ll try to do that. I’ll be a bit more free this weekend, so I’ll try to figure out what idea from this week I want to work on.
Obviously with all the Covid stuff going on we’re not going to have a normal Easter. So the UK’s biggest chocolate company is holding a digital Easter egg hunt. You can hide your egg anywhere in the world. Well I can’t see my best friend or sister this Easter so I’ve just hidden an egg for each of them to find
I went to do this and you can only ship an egg to a UK post address. )=
I’m headed to the store now to buy a Cadbury egg or maybe just a Cadbury bar if that’s all they have. Then I’ll hide a free one online and mail the actual chocolate myself. It’s still a fun idea though! Thanks for sharing.
I’m a couple days late but last week was women in aviation week in the US. This is Ada Brown. She wasn’t the very first flight attendant, but back in 1945/46 she organized her coworkers into the first flight attendant union and started pushing back on aeroline management. That union is still around today.
I hope everyone is staying safe on the old forum I wrote a little fan fiction and I’ve realized the storyline I’d planned out isn’t disimiliar to HITMAN (2021) I’m going to transfer that first chapter of the fan fiction over to here, and continue it. It’ll only be something short and sweet, nothing too arduous to read or complex.
My question is, do I post the first chapter, then put each subsequent chapter beneath it? Or do I put each chapter in a new thread?
In other news, I had my COVID-19 PT.2 not electric boogaloo yesterday. This consisted of me awkwardly in a Zoom call with others. My boss would ask us questions and since I was the only one using my camera (since it was mandatory yet not enforced) I answered what is relatively mundane and easy questions after we just had a long drawn out silence to where it eventually became can anyone else but “Blake” answer these questions. This means I can officially go back inside the park and work which is exciting.
So, I got the first jab of the vaccine today. Got a phone call at 2pm, said it was from the nearby hospital. I had an appointment at 10:30am for the jab but I missed it because a bunch of letters that you’re meant to get before the vaccine appointment were sent out late apparently. Went to the hospital at 3pm, kindof wondering if it was a prank call or something, but no, they found my name, gave me the first jab of the Oxford vaccine.
They didn’t even tell me why I got it. I’m under 30, have no health problems aside from being obese, so maybe that’s why? My Dad is 64 and he’s getting his first jab on Thursday.
Oh well. Guess I should appreciate it, just amazed this came right out of the blue.
I got my first dose last week and I’m 19 with 0 history of health problems, I got it before my dad and he’s over 50. I was convinced I would be turned away at the door after they realise it was a mistake lol
I got the astrazeneca and it made me terribly unwell for a day so hopefully you can avoid that, otherwise good luck
Yeah I got the same one you did. Currently no side effects so far but will watch out for them. I’m actually on holiday this week so it’s probably a good time to get the vaccine really.
