That’s how we always played. Each kid for themselves and if it was going too fast the teacher would yell “gaol break” and all the out kids were back in the game. Then hollywood made that movie and now it’s a team sport
Essentially me trying to figure out which finish I want to put on my wood projects. Lacquer or Shellac. ![]()
Our school rules, you sit down at the spot where you die. If you are able to get hold of the ball you are in the game again or if the person who shot you dies. You also die if they catch your ball. Of course if it hits the ground first it won’t count.
We have an extra rule called Carnivorous plant, where you can’t get touched by the dead. We don’t always use those rules.
I love it! We never sat down in place. We went to a holding area, but your way sounds better.
That is also the version I grew up with, the way we play it at the school I work at is a lot of fun if you play with carnivorous plants.
As @TheContractor suggested, a site with contracts gathered in one place would be great. Started it off today:

Chicago cancelled the annual dying the river green for Paddy’s Day, or so the mayors office said. They were just telling a fib and stifling the crowds; the river was still green. It’s strange to see this photo with the river green and no people crowded together. I’m still happy the tradition was honoured, even if I missed it.
Surely that can’t be good for the marine life?
It’s the same colour as my pfp!
You know I watched enough Ghostbusters in my life to know that a green river is usually the beginning of the end.
But its pink in the Movie?
It’s environmentally friendly dye, but it wasn’t always that way.
It’s been happening since the 60s. ‘62 I think. The first time the river stayed green for a week. Now it goes away in a few hours.
There are numerous types of slime and they all have different ranges of uses/severity in the ghostbusters lore.
Surprised no one’s chroma-keyed it yet…
Here we have the traditional brown river.
Not dye or anything, just good old fashioned pollution.
Neat, but also kinda creepy given the environmental implications.
Some people talking about this say not to worry, as the dye is a bunch of liquidized algae, but other sources says the recipe is a Chicago secret, so… Ehhh
I just received some really bad news, like the worst in my life and I am not processing it properly.
I might open up about it in a bit when I feel comfortable but if I’m quiet for a few days that’s why. I’m really sorry.
you have nothing to be sorry about. look after yourself. ![]()
Take the time you need to protect yourself, there is nothing wrong with looking out for yourself and you don’t have to apologise for it.
