I got quite some exciting news today! Some of you may remember I participated in a competition/selection procedure to join the diplomatic service. Today I got confirmation I passed!
Iām not a diplomatic representative yet, however. Iām now on a reserve list and will be contacted when concrete opportunities arise. Then another mini-competition will take place among those on the reserve list who are interested in working in this or that particular location.
So while itās not final yet, Iām pretty excited about this. Never did I think I would actually make it this far when starting out in the procedure. I feel like 47 winging that job interview and inadvertently acing it

Most of the memes are on the image-archive server or the amazon server.
I did a quick flick through the image archives to make sure they were all there and see if there was anything significant etc and honestly 10% of it is chess boards.

If you donāt know, Iām half Scottish, and today me and my family prepared for the ye olde Scottish tradition of egg rolling on Easter Sunday.
Itās a small event where you hard boil an egg, then paint it whatever you like, and on Easter Sunday you roll it down a hill of some kind.
Forgive the unflattering angle, I painted an egg to look (something) like Two-Face, the iconic batman villain.

Its a tradition in here too, to paint hard boiled eggs. I can remember when I was a kid I was so excited about Easter. At home, we put decorative foil on the egg, which had to be cooked on it and remove before eating. It was really cute. I can imagine how funny and cool this event too.

I like Hitman as much as the next person here, and I like how successful and almost mainstream this latest entry is getting ā and I really like how IOI is pushing for more sales and promotion of it, butā¦
Man, Iām getting so many targeted ads about Hitman 3 being 25% off itās insane. Maybe itās just me thatās getting this (or possibly anyone else who visits this forum) but I canāt spend a minute browsing the net without a sidebar, top-bar, or bottom-of-page ad appearing, showcasing Hitman 3. Sometimes, all at once. (And itās been 80% of my Youtube ads lately)
I meanā¦ what the heck is this?? 
Is there any way for me to tell the internet that I already have what youāre selling! 
Edit: I guess this shows IOI their marketing tool is working at least.

Iām the same. Tbh it always brings a smile to my face when I see a hitman advert but also at the back of my mind Iām like āthis is a waste of an advertā

I donāt mind when itās random Internet ads - Iād prefer those people not have access to all my information.
When itās games store fronts sending me pop ups for games I already ownā¦ and those storefronts donāt have gifting options - then I getā¦ confused.

I do use ad blockers so no problem with that, but the thing Iāve noticed is the pre-video youtube ads. I always use VPN on different servers each day, but they show up anyway. IO has been spending a bit more on advertisement latelyā¦

Iām buying a house !! 
I signed the preliminary sales agreement last week and I feel like Iām floating on a cloud of joy since Even the fact France is in lockdown again canāt decrease my actual happiness.
Iād reached this point with another house months ago, but the sale collapse because the owner was a total jerk. He refused to talk to us on the phone and when he finally accepted, it was to tell us that he was going to remove everything he could from the house, including what was attached to the walls 
But the owners of the current house are just super nice. They move in a small apartment, so they canāt take all their furnitures and proposed to give us any furniture we want for free. What a change ! 
And the house itself is better than the first one.
So yeaaaah, there is still a lot to do, but I have a really good feeling about this

I started playing an ad filled mobile game lately and it always had ads for some dumb makeover game where you turn a conventionally ugly person into a conventionally attractive person.
Yesterday I saw the boycott Genshin Impact thing on twitter. I didnāt get involved but just read some posts and liked a couple things too. All morning my mobile ads were for Genshin Impact.
So IOI you just need an Internet controversy so we can get more ads for your games.
