So what happened last week was some immigration issues with my fiancee. We’ve been together since 2014 and living together since 2018 but her visa may be rejected.
We have backup plans and saw a migration agent who gave us good advice. We genuinely made a small mistake in paper work and now need to fix it up and hope they don’t think we’re lying.
I’m still shaken by this and scared but we’re doing a lot to resolve it. Fingers crossed.
Aww it sucks I can’t stand to be apart from my boyfriend for more than a couple of days, so I can imagine how stressful a situation like this must be… Fingers crossed for both of you
My grandmother is starting to lose her mind. This morning I found her trying to make herself a tea using tomato puree and also overheated something in the microwave. ._.
This is concerning as hell since yesterday she was fine. One of my aunts will take her to an appointment with the neurologist. I’m afraid her medicine isn’t really working anymore.
That’s tough. I remember when my grandma started to get hit by Alzheimer’s. There are certainly good days and bad days, but as time marches on the bad days become more frequent. At one point she accused her stuffed animal panda bear of stealing the television remote.
ah, sorry, i didn’t mean that to sound like i found what happened to you ‘funny’, more that it sounded like an absurd series of events that just kept spiralling out of control.
My dad got the positive covid test… It means I have to stay at home for 2 weeks in a quarantine, I can’t meet my boyfriend who was my emotional support since I have depression. Its basically the worst time, before graduation. I am so stressed and mentally off. I couldnt go to the school for almost 1 year because of covid. We dont learn regular we just have online classes, and shitty tests. And in Hungary we have oral exam and regular exam in graduation. All the students now being so frustrated of this whole situation.
My dad is okay, Im not that worried about him because I know he will be fine in a few days actually. He has a healthy and good immune system.
But now, I cry literally every day. Its so messed up… i can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
i just want the end of this time period…
I truly hope that you and your dad stay strong and healthy over the next few weeks, its also good news that your dad is in a good position to fight the virus. But there’s something I feel the need to address.
The pandemic has negatively affected everyone, but we should also not resort to unfair generalizations. This has already led to a series of hate crimes against Asian people.
I don’t get the impression that you are one of those people, but we should avoid this type of comment regardless
Oh no, Im sorry of course. I am not racist at all or anything. Its really far from me… It supposed to be a more funnier tone of voice in my mind. I didnt write for a hate purpose.
I learned a fun fact today:
The worlds first speeding ticket was issued in 1896. An English gentleman was going four times the posted speed limit. The limit was 2mph . He was doing 8 and received a fine of £4 and 7 shillings. Loosely converted that is £592 or $815 in today money.
The guy was called Walter Arnold and he was driving an early Benz that would have looked a lot like this one.
Finally got a bit of good news today: both my parents are now eligible for the vaccine. Dad’s going next week and mom’ll be signing up for her appointment over the weekend.
I did. Thought he files are currently still on my hard drive until I can find a suitable storage device and finish the paperwork with Milton Fitzpatrick.
