this isn’t as interesting as everyone else’s life updates here, but i was helping someone restock a very deep chest freezer and fell in because something was too low. believe it or not, IO really outdid themselves on the accuracy of freezer interiors

I wanted to ask a question for anyone in the know. Does anybody know what to do if you find a trading card that maybe worth something?
Specifically, in my attic, I found a 1986 board game which ties in to the BBC’s sports quiz show, A Question of Sport. From what I’ve Googled, one of the picture cards in the game, which has a photo of Mike Tyson, might actually be worth a little bit of money, because it is the very first card to ever depict him, making it his “Rookie Card”.
Trying to figure out the best way to move forward with this. Probably doesn’t help that I imagine all the Mike Tyson collectors are probably in the USA and I’m in Scotland. Would it be a good idea to get a company to grade the card and put it in one of those sleeves you see on eBay?

Well I am no expert but the first thing you should do is put it in some form of protection, doesn’t have to be a Mylar sleeve. Then get it appraised at a collectables shop or some other form of cartophilist to see if it is still worth something then just ask them what the next step is.

Protect it for now. Look it up on eBay and see what it’s going for. Then decide if you want to list it for sale online or maybe try to take it to a collector shop locally.

Yes we did! They sound just like they did when I was in middle school. They played a good set. All of their old stuff. Then they closed by having a studio version of their new song play through the speakers while they thew a bunch of t shirts or sweat shirts into the crowd. Earlier in the show the guitarist chucked his guitar to the crowd too. The new song was called Dad Vibes 
and the lead singer has to be wearing a wig bc he looks insane.

Just got my second and last shot of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine. The only side effects I had was a soar arm and hearing the windows theme ever time I wake up.
Now to see if I’m unlucky with nr.2.

I suppose that’s the humane thing to do but there’s no guarantee that the next person feels the same way. Unless you’re taking them in yourself, they’re in just as much danger as in the wild.
America is just as if not more dangerous than we are when you think about it. I could make Canada sounds dangerous if I put my mind to it.

True but the mice aren’t that lethal nor are they endemic to Australia. Besides the mice plague was months ago, I am pretty sure the East has been working like mad to stop it.

You better be because while I can admit our country is that one unbalanced level the devs forgot to go over before shipping, the Emu War is mostly sensationalist lies from a century ago and based on a Reddit-level misunderstanding of history.
Can we make fun of China now? It is one thing to loose to emus after all you have to be tough to live in Australia but it is a whole other level to lose to swallows.

Anyone here have much interest in card games or board games? Been wondering if I should make a dedicated thread to it, but obviously not much point if noone else is interested.
Anyway, peaking my interest as a Bond fan, Modiphius Entertainment have announced their new board game where you don’t play as James Bond, but instead play as Bond villians, with you competing with each other to be the most villianious, whilst also avoiding defeat at the hands of Bond himself. Won’t be out til Spring 2022, and no price as of yet, but still, looks exciting.

I finally have found a job fter 4 years without working. I worked only as a journalists, but journalism isn’t something that makes me earn enough money. Now I have found a job that make me have an economic stability to go to live alone in my new home. And it’s even a nice job (I had the terror to find another awful and boring one). I’m happy!
