What the sad in Chongqing that even The Rage ET was better than End of era lol
Honestly, I’d rather have the static cutscenes from H2 with more elaborate level designs, that get fully animated cut scenes at the expense of level complexity. And the irony is, H2 cutscenes ended up having a bigger edge and looking better than H3 cutscenes.
I believe the opposite, I think Chongqing is a great map, especially when it comes to contracts mode because there’s not much congestion and it allows more of the map to be utilized for kill attempts whereas I think Mumbai is a complete hot mess and Miami being annoying with each half of the map being separated with underground passages.
Contrast is more often than not part of the design in many maps.
True, but I don’t think that works for this map, because the city district is way more interesting, yet we do not get enough to do or explore
Adding in the outdoor market from the Gluttony escalation would be a big improvement
or maybe because hitman 3 was more story than freedom
idk. i feel like i was disappointed with hitman 3 as a whole. all of the maps were just ok to me. only map that blew me away was berlin
Berlin and Mendoza are by dar the best ones in my opinion (though I must admit I haven’t mastered Mendoza yet). Regardless, Berlin does take full advantage of its potential.
More maps were outsourced out in H2; both Santa Fortuna and Isle of Sgail (as well as Colorado in H1) were made by Sumo Digital, not IOI.
I dont know why but this map look stupid the building of the map very strange. But i like the lights this the only thing good in this map.
And the map not feel china for me i was in china twice. and chongqing not seems like that. Its look mix USA with india with Neon lights that even not look like that in China.
its look strange lol
Please Upgrade Chongqing @Travis_IOI
Sounds like you’re asking for a full reconstruction of the level.
That’s… uh… quite the major, major ask.
And just don’t tag devs for input after you call their work “stupid”, please.
I think its too late
While we’re at it, can we finally get driving mode and interactive first-person racing cars in Miami?? Shouldn’t be such a huge ask!

Six months later, no pages to show for it:
“This game is so realistic!”
Not only that but death walls were established in OOB areas in an update to prevent people from using map breaking to have more areas to explore.
On the bright side this level got me to start playing Hitman Contracts (2004) again after a couple years of not since it’s reminiscent of the remake of the Hong Kong missions including the buildings, the rainy environment, and even the parody escalation in deluxe edition.
Hitman contracts Hong kong better than Chongqing.
The music, the mission, the map,
the tradtional, but the graphics very old need remastered for this.
The map in 2004 you cant stop remmeber him, the other one in Chongqing you just want to forgot…
I feel like the only maps I dont like from Hitman 3 are Dartmoor and Chongqing. The rest are great, Ambrose was great, but I finally figured that to me the problem with China as a map is that there feels like there’s less entrances to these facilities than there could have been. The lack of NPCs and shops makes sense but there’s a lot of areas that feel restrictive in options to get from one place to another. Making it feel more linear. The facility itself feels like once you figure out you can drop down from that balcony that sort of trivializes a large part of that area and then you kind of rely on that for most runs. The facility itself has the container, the ladder and the door near the starting location but the fourth entrance near the container feels redundant and it feels there could have been another area or two where we could have opened up a secret vent ala the Block because the vents and navigation between fortresses in Chongqing is its best aspect but becomes very samey due to navigation options putting you near the west of the block and the south of the facility thus funnelling you to specific strats
I do feel disappointed by Hitman 3. It felt so rushed. Many times when I play H2016 and H2, I discover things years after playing. I don’t think this will happen with Hitman 3
I love Dubai and Mendoza. They felt like classic Hitman maps to me. Chongqing let me down the most
Chongqing has very little playable space in it. For all of its size, it gives the impression of something greater than it actually is. The urban cityscape is amazing. But it didn’t feel like a city map to me at all.
Most of the level is devoted to the ICA facility. In my opinion, it is one of the most boring target areas in the game. There is nothing to do in the ICA facility. It is just drab office space and generic sci-fi stuff.
