As the Autumn/Fall roadmap is almost behind us, the Winter roadmap is likely to be on the horizon in the coming weeks as we begin to put 47’s Xmas Tree up in the Safehouse
So, discuss below potential ideas on what you’d like to see, or what you might think we’ll see in the Winter roadmap!
Also, it’s getting to that time of the year where we should expect some confirmation whether or not we are getting a Year 6. With the 10-year anniversary of WOA in March time, surely there’s got to be something?
The roadmap template is pretty locked in at this point, so we can reasonably expect:
New CelebrET and DLC
Final Y5 ETs (The Serial Killer, The Food Critic and The Sensation)
Two FC batches
1-2 Twitch Drops (due to Christmas etc, I’d be surprised if there was three)
2-3 new challenges/unlocks
the annual ET Galore
As for Year 6, I’d say its reasonable to expect it since we know we’ve still got the co-op mode coming. Can’t imagine they’d drop live content prior or right after releasing it.
I could see the decision to still be in flux. At least how it will play. "It may be available during future mission reruns." from the last patch notes about the Infiltrator.
I expect support to WoA (Co-Op…), I do not know about a continuation of the weekly content. The fabled “living, breathing world of assassination”.
I think IOI has the capability to do it.
So it’s an active decision for what they want WoA to be going forward.
I nonetheless expect something around the 10th year of WoA in March 2026.
You forgot the most prominent things: lack of sufficient communication, updates that don’t happen on time or happen without notice at all, and patches that don’t fix anything we’ve been pointing out is broken for literally years, except maybe one or two acceptable adjustments.
Samir could be on 007. It might have a closed-beta to monitor for all we know.
Or he could have a personal matter to attend to.

I’m also frustrated by IOI, but come on. It’s entertainment.

The last 6 months have been pretty solid. And the whole of Y5 has been smooth.
Sure our pet-goalposts have not all been hit, or we move them, or they are just pedant.
But the current baseline is fine.

Another potential sign of Year 6: The speedrun competition prize was that the winner gets to help IO come up with an upcoming Twitch drop. Even though whatever it is will probably just be a reskin, I doubt it’ll be a drop that comes in the next roadmap/patch due to timing. So would have to come in through a Y6 roadmap/patch.
I think it’s likely the Winter celeb ET is on a Hitman 2/3 map since we had 2 on 2016 maps, I’m gonna guess Dubai. I predict we’ll get a new Holiday Hoarders challenge this year since last year we had a Hokkaido Snow Festival one. For Twitch drops? A purple Santa Suit and a purple remote breaching charge.
I think Year 6 is a given since Year 5 was the highest level of support the game has gotten since Year 2, and they show no signs of slowing down. 3 new Celeb ETs, PSVR2 and PCVR overhauled to match, more bug fixes on average compared to last year, a lot more Twitch drops, and finally fixing the PS5 saving bug.
Imagine if for the 10th anniversary of the game they finally included all the missing legacy content, both the challenges and the escalations. With the Peacock Plus mod the 2016 escalations are a lot more enjoyable with only three levels instead of five.
For the winter ET I’m going to stay with my Arnold prediction from some months ago. Considering that my Mads Mikkelsen prediction was spot on, It’s safe to asume I’m gonna be right again .
For the rest of the roadmap, It will be usual stuff and maybe an anniversary surprise, but I don’t want to get too hyped about that. Hopefully there is an ET galore because I missed The Politician (did it on my alt account, but forgot to do it on my main smh), but I believe there wasn’t a galore last year if I remember correctly.
I do think the CET could be Stallone; fits the bill of aging actor they like to use, side profile kind of close to their teaser image, been used in other games before, plus there’s a lot they could do with little references and things.
This will probably be nowhere near the mark but I envisioned in my head for this Stallone as Kit Volpe, “The Sly”, a cunning criminal mastermind who runs a weapons dealing syndicate known as The Foxes. Visiting Ambrose Island to negotiate a deal with the new leader of the pirates after Akka’s demise.
As for the rest of it, the items are very speculative but I feel like a purple sniper drop and a water can unlock are very plausible.
As others have said though, it will be nothing out of the ordinary.

still hoping for a galore/rerun of year 1 elusive targets, steam players never had the chance to do them
only two have been reactivated so far, and that was all the way back in year 2
also new switch 2 or mobile players havent had the chance to do most ets, so i hope they eventually rerun some for those players too
