No, it’s not.
Makes sense, though now I sulk and hope they do let everyone play again eventually. Would be nice to get SA on a non-bugged playthrough.
Now that would be absolutely incredible!!
I’m hyped for that just after reading this comment
I would love a Christmas themed Vermont level. It would be really difficult to do because they would have to change the yellowing maple trees into leafless trees for winter
But it would be amazing to have a Christmas suburban neighborhood level. Imagine all the beautiful decorations. I wouldn’t mind if they reused the ones from Holiday Hoarders
I was complaining about the lack of content for returning players in this roadmap, but today I decided to make a second PS4 account. Doing a no unlock no Mastery no shortcut run of The Ascensionist was a really fun challenge. Even though I did get in a pretty messy gunfight I managed to beat it, only 2 more ETs to go to unlock the Absolution Suit (again). I plan on doing similar runs for the other 6 ETs, and I highly recommend you guys try this type of run too.
Plus, with my second account now I have the pleasure of going through all the WoA trilogy again, all I have left to do on my main account is about 6 pages of Featured Contracts and the Himmelstein and Hantu Port sniper maps.
I approve !
I did the same thing yesterday and if I haven’t completed the contract yet, I’m exploring a bit more the map.
It’s not that strange, but it’s remarkable to see how much more alive and busy Dubai seems here. Obviously there are all the new dialogues and the ET herself that occupies all the normally empty areas of the map (black gold bar…) but the way the new npcs and expended routines works are just great.
Dubai is normally the starting level so everything can neatly fold for the mission, as good level design do.
But here there is always just a bit too much npcs to be able to neatly knock them out and put in a closet, always the right enforcer to make you think of the crowd as something you will need to socially work with and not just a resource to use for a further plan.
I love it. (kinda makes me wish this version was available for contract making)
The Ascensionist is so good, and it really makes me hope they make more new ETs next year that encourage you to be creative.
Did the Hokkaido snow festival go live today?
Just remembered that we could still get new ETs in the coming months, even with the ET Arcade we’ve got going.
If it does happen, it could probably go like this:
- ET Arcade is restricted to Legacy/Old ETs, any Year 2 ETs aren’t added to the pool/list until Dec. 2022/Jan. 2023.
- New ETs aren’t added to ET Arcade until 2-3 months after their initial run (to preserve the sense of elusiveness, but not make it so restrictive to late-joiners)
- New ETs automatically get added to the ET Arcade list.
Granted, this all depends on how the ET Arcade works and if they’ll be making any new ETs anyway.
I have some faith though since Travis mentioned they’ll reveal more than just the two upcoming content drops on Jan 20th, and if that’s a 2022 year plan, Elusives are still a great way for IOI to fill a week with content or so, and are generally fun mini-missions.
Yeah it went live, was bit of a silent drop really. Just a reminder that December and January’s road map is the same
This is the first time I’ve actually played the Hokkaido Snow Festival and I’m having a blast! It may be a small, simple little mission but I’m having a lot of fun with it; my first time in, I found the target in the garden, discovered I was able to make snowballs (gladly did), saw the guy leaning over the railing, tossed the snowball behind his guard, pushed the target over the edge and got out in less than two minutes.
I have completed most of the challenges in the couple hours I’ve been messing around in it but it feels somehow more than the Special Assignments. It might get boring quickly, especially if Year 2 is as good as it promises to be, but, for now, I’m really enjoying myself. I love the efficiency and speed it more than readily presents to the player.
I might be a little biased, though, because a lot of the decorations remind me of my cousin’s basement bar/lounge.
Yup, like I said elsewhere, all you have to do is wait in the bathroom, trigger the automatic toilet sabotage at the right time, and the prick is at your mercy, no assembly required, no purchase necessary, no interest payments until September. It’s really fun to experiment.
i guess you got him then Heisenberg
I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, but I will in a while. I’ve just been switching over to H2 all year whenever I wanted to take this guy out, and I played it pretty regularly before H3 came out, so I’ve got his number down pretty well and I’ve used numerous methods of killing the prick.
oh are you on console or pc and the word prick hahaha oh your funny dude
I use Xbox. Yeah, I like to sling little insults at the targets. It’s my thing.
fair enough man im the same with you
Just a question for you what would you like to see in year 2 when the winter roadmap i know the et aracde pcvr ray tracing
I’d like to see either some missions that take place in the 7 years after Blood Money, some more missions in the 7 years between Absolution and the Showstopper (like most of the Bonus Missions/Special Assignments are), or a new campaign ala Patient Zero that takes place after Untouchable and shows 47 and Diana trying to restore the ICA under their administration by doing some jobs to gain seed money for it, reestablish connections with their non-assassin operatives, get some advertising out that the Agency is back, and and maybe even locate some new field agent recruits.
yeah that would be cool idea
