I don’t. Throwing a molotov at someone is not an accident, even in Freelancer. Yes, a molotov would be more justifiable in Freelancer, where S/A is not strictly required, but that doesn’t escape the fact that it looks stupid and it was inconsistent as all hell to get kills with if you threw it.

Heritage UI has this, and it is a GODSEND!

On the one hand, this would supersede needing to place-and-hold explosives, which kinda ruins the nuance of the game a bit. On the other hand, this isn’t a particularly bad idea either. You can see the bind I’m in.

As for my thoughts; i’ll just refer you to my wishlist… (Freelancer improvements, Offline Mode rework, Permanent ET’s and Cross-platform leaderboards/ TRUE cross-saving.)
