I did master SASO on the required maps for the classics challenges within the first week of the game coming out and then never touched it again (until the DLC maps, which i also did once).
i know you specify only the H6 maps but I dont think master is well designed for any map, colombia in particular was just an immensely frustrating experience
I’ve done 3 of the 6 Hitman 2 maps in Master, I think New Zealand, Miami, and Mumbai. It feels a little better in Hitman 2, I think, it does feel a bit more designed around the sensitive NPCs, and there are less instances of just obnoxious guard placement. But yeah, I don’t enjoy Master atall. I want to get my challenge rewards and leave it alone. Hope Hitman 3’s Master levels aren’t too irritating.
if im right in thinking that these maps will be bigger than ever, then they most likely will be no fun whatsoever on master. not sure i can take another 3 target massive map with only 1 save and superpowered guards
The 1 save thing bothers me alot. I mean, alright, maybe on small or medium sized maps like Bangkok, Hokkaido, New Zealand. But maps like Santa Fortuna and Mumbai, I think they should absolutely get 2 saves at least. I would definetly make it on a case by case basis.
I’m thankful Haven and the Bank don’t have any Master challenges associated with them atall, I think.
yeah i can see the appeal of having a constant set of rules but it really doesnt work very well.
they do, but no rewards. they’re really just for completion’s sake.
i am grateful that the games have difficulty levels, especially since pro mode was only added to hitman 6 about a year after launch. but the execution leaves a lot to be desired
Huh, I must of gotten the Bank’s then because I have done literally every challenge for that map, bar ruining the security guard’s day.
Yeah, it was a nice freebie when they added it into Hitman (2016), and I think Hitman 2 did the right thing when they formalised the system with an easy, normal, and hard modes. Easy is good for people who just havn’t played any stealth games before. (I mean, I assume so, I’ve never touched it.) Normal is pretty well adjusted, maybe aside from some questionable OP items like the electric phone. But yeah, hard isn’t great, probably because it was added in later rather than being built from the ground up. And stuff like taking away disguises, and the limited save system, it just turns it into a challenge run really.
I think whenever they make Hitman 9, they really need to build up the difficulty selection as part of the core game design for each level.
Of course it is, I order pizza and get it delivered, but they wear masks and gloves when delivering the pizza, but the few napkins delivered with the pizza is gone, I pay with card and with near field, (in lack of better words) I don’t have to use the keys to enter my code on the smal payment terminal they have, it’s really safe, maybe safer than going to the resturant and order pizza there. I have not yet got Covid-19.
