I know I voted H1 last time but I changed my mind about the best one. To me there is no mission in h3 that I actually hate or felt like a chore to play, so I will vote H3.

H3 showed off the writers’ talents which is what I’m here for

Hitman 2. Best locations. Best story. Best aesthetics. Best variation of opportunities.

Don’t forget best Lucas Grey model too.

Im super biased towards 2, so 2 i shall vote. Though 2016 has the best mechanics and 3 has the most consistently good maps in the trilogy.

H3 had the best designed missions in an overall sense, obviously it had less and uh questionable DLC compared to the rest but these 5 missions (there are only 5, don’t say there are 6) are all winners

h2 is top 3 in the franchise for me.

the over arching story - which is rarely great in any hitman - takes a noticeable dive compared to h2016’s grounded conpiracy thriller tone with the introduction of the memory juice contrivance, but the in-level narratives are some of the best in the franchise (mumbai’s mythic stand-off, maldives’ long con, whittleton’s hidden serial killer, etc.).

the level design is - again - franchise best. as much as i love smaller levels, the sapienza inspired one’s in h2 are distinct, dense, intricate and reward the time you spend with them, getting better with each playthrough. they’re just a joy, mechanically.

H2, but not by much. Overall aesthetics were on point and the missions were the most fun and old school hitman Ive felt since 2010-ish. H3 is nice, but cmon, H2 has Miami, WC, NY and Haven. Plus H2 brought more to the table: briefcase, foiliage, PiP, fiberWIRE, authentic weapons, cool new tools and the banana. H2 was basically the peak of this trilogy.

The quality of the maps across the WOA trilogy in my opinion:

Hitman 1:
Great:Sapienza,Hokkaido
Awesome:-
Very good:Paris
Good:Marrakesh
Ok:Colorado
Awful:Bangkok

Hitman 2:
Great:Miami,Mumbai
Awesome:Whittleton Creek,New York,Haven
Very good:Isle of Sgail
Good:Santa Fortuna
Ok:Hawkes Bay

Hitman 3:
Great:Dubai,Dartmoor,Berlin,Mendoza
Awesome:Chongqing
Ok:Carpathian Mountains

(Great=the best,Awful=the worst)

Obviously,my favourite is H3,H2 being a close second.

In H1 I have to come to the defense of Colorado and Marrakesh because they’re my babies.
In H2 I have to come to the defense of Santa Fortuna because it’s also my baby.

In H3 I don’t need to defend anyone because the fanbase likes them all. All 5 missions. Honestly kind of wish a mission sucked more in H3 just so I could join the defense force for another mission.

might be just me but Chongqing kinda sucks and was only really good for the first few playthroughs.

what if - hypothetically speaking, of course - there was a sixth mission. i wonder if the fanbase would unanimously like that one.

No one wants a baby looking like CarpMounts. It will stay an orphan. Which is kinda fitting.

The story sucks, AI sucks, and graphic patterns didn’t significantly changed from Contracts (compare it to the changes Absolution or WoA had) so, is it unfair to say that a another game (SA) with pretty much the same graphic pattern, sucking AI BUT a great story is better?
